– Tonight’s WWE RAW kicks off with the pyro exploding in the arena as we get a glimpse of a packed house. Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington tonight. Chris Jericho’s music plays and out comes the World Heavyweight Champion.
Jericho comes out in a suit, showing signs of last night including a busted up mouth. Jericho stares down the crowd and waits for his music to stop. The crowd tells Jericho he sucks as he just stares them down. He mentions it was announced on WWE.com today that Mike Adamle was meeting with Shane and Stephanie tonight and would not be here, so Jericho was asked to take his place tonight.
Jericho says he has full power tonight and will do his best tonight to run the show right. He then talks about his Ladder match with Shawn Michaels last night. Jericho says HBK did do something he said he would do, that’s disfigure Jericho. He smiles and shows off his broken front tooth which is a pretty nice sized gap. Jericho says he will have to live with this for the rest of his life. Jericho says he did exactly what he said he was going to do, and that’s beat Shawn Michaels.
Jericho says he knows HBK is here tonight and wants some kind of revenge but that won’t happen because he is done with him. Jericho makes Shawn Michaels vs. Lance Cade tonight on RAW in a No DQ, Anything Goes match. Jericho says he has nothing to prove to anyone anymore and everyone must acknowledge that he is the true Champion and most dominant performer in this business. Out comes Batista.
Batista comes to the ring with a huge pop from the crowd. Batista tells Jericho to pick the number and Jericho asks him what he means. Batista tells him he’s the #1 contender and tells Jericho to pick the number of days before he gets his World Title shot. 7 days, 14 days, 2 day? Jericho says he should be careful what he wishes for because he just might get it. Jericho says he would find a way to beat Batista even though he’s in pain. Jericho says he calls himself The Animal and says he is an animal. What? Jericho says he will make sure Batista’s name is synonymous with failure, just like HBK. Jericho tells him to get out of his face and out of his ring, right now.
Batista laughs in Jericho’s face and says for one, like it or not, he is going to defend his belt against him. Batista says and two, and out of nowhere lays Jericho out with a big Spinebuster. Batista heads to the ramp, bragging about being #1 as Jericho recovers in the ring.
– Michael Cole reminds us of the Mysterio/Hardy vs. Kane/Henry tag match still to come tonight as we see Jericho still down in the ring. To commercial break we go.
– Back from commercial and we see what just happened with Batista laying out Chris Jericho. During commercial break, Jericho got on the mic and reminded Batista he was in charge. Jericho says tonight, Batista will face JBL in a rematch from No Mercy with the winner being the new #1 contender. He says he will be the special guest referee for that match tonight.
Mickie James and Jamie Noble vs. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix
William Regal is sitting at ringside in his King’s chair with Layla by his side. Out first for this intergender tag match is Jamie Noble with Mickie James. The WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix and WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella are out next. Santino gets on the mic and says he has been criticized for being too Italian and not American enough. He says he is trying to fix that and has adopted a new NBA team. He takes off his shirt and has a Oklahoma City Thunder t-shirt on and the Seattle fans start to boo Santino, as the Seattle Supersonics have left for OKC. He tells Mickie and Noble that Glamarella is going to reign down on them.
Mickie and Beth start it out and go back and forth until Santino gets in. This is a mixed tag match so Mickie has to tag out. Noble and Santino go at it now with Noble getting offense early with a clothesline, shoulderblocks and a nice suplex. Noble goes for his armbar but Beth comes in. Mickie kicks her out of the ring. Santino rolls Noble up for a 2 count and throws him into the turnbuckle. Santino runs into Noble’s boot. Beth distracts Noble and Santino rolls him up for the quick win.
Winners: Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix
After the match, Santino and Beth celebrate on the outside until Noble charges Santino and runs him off into the crowd. William Regal tries to attack Noble but gets dumped over the barrier into the crowd. Regal comes back pissed off and starts brawling with Noble. The referee tries to hold Regal back while he’s going insane as Noble and Mickie escape.
– Backstage we see Shawn Michaels with Todd Grisham. Todd asks him about his match with Cade tonight. HBK says what do you want him to do? Ask Jericho to not make him wrestle tonight, even though he’s pain? No. HBK says Jericho won’t be wrestling tonight because he feels the same pain as HBK does, so he wants his boy Lance Cade to put HBK out of action tonight. Shawn says because he is bordering on the brink of insanity and jacked up on adrenaline, he is going to show everyone tonight that he has plenty of gas left in the tank. We go back to commercial.
Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase
Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring first for this match with one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Ted DiBiase. As the bell is about to ring, out comes CM Punk. Punk takes a seat at ringside. Ted and Kofi lock up to start the match and go back and forth.
Kofi and Ted og back and forth until Ted gets him in a body scissors on the mat. The fans get behind Kofi and he gets to his feet. Kofi counters a back drop and starts hitting right hands on Ted and big dropkicks. Flying forearm by Kofi.
Kofi comes off the top rope as Manu gets on the apron. Kofi knocks Manu to the ground. Cody Rhodes gets on the apron and distracts Kofi as well until CM Punk makes the save. Ted DiBiase comes from behind and locks on the Million Dollar Dream into a leg sweep and gets the pinfall for the win.
Winner: Ted DiBiase
– Backstage we see Chris Jericho and Randy Orton talking. Jericho says he is going to put him to work tonight. We go back to Cole and Lawler in the arena. They lead us to a video package of John Cena and say he is doing well.
– After the video, we see Kane and Mark Henry walking to the ring. Dolph Ziggler stops them to introduce himself but doesn’t finish. They keep walking. Tony Atlas walks by and Dolph introduces himself but he doesn’t get a handshake back. Back to commercial.
Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy vs. Kane and Mark Henry
Back from commercial and Rey Mysterio makes his way to the ring first. Out next is the ECW Champion Matt Hardy. Out next is Mark Henry with Tony Atlas behind him. The pyro explodes next and his tag team partner Kane comes to the ring as we get ready to go.
Rey and Kane start the match off with Rey charging him with rights and lefts. Kane knocks him to the mat. Rey fights back and tags in Matt Hardy. They double team Kane in their corner. Kane decks Hardy with a right hand and takes control. Kane tags in Mark Henry. Henry levels Hardy with a big right hand but misses a splash in the corner. Rey gets tagged in, throws Hardy into Henry. Rey jumps off Hardy’s back onto Henry but he catches him. Hardy takes out Henry’s knee and Rey falls ontop of Henry. Rey and Hardy send Kane and Henry to the floor as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Kane has Matt Hardy down on the mat. During commercial, Rey and Hardy double teamed the knee of Mark Henry. Kane drops Hardy with a big shoulder and tags back in Henry. Mark comes in and starts stomping on Hardy. Henry picks Hardy up but he slides out and takes Henry down by his knee.
Rey gets tagged in, dropkicks Henry and comes off the top rope with a leg drop. Rey goes for a pin and gets a 2 count. Kane hits Rey in the back of the head while the ref’s back is turned. Henry gets up and slings Rey to the outside. Henry comes out, brings Rey back in the ring and drags him to the corner, tagging in Kane. Kane drops Rey with a big headbutt and throws him in the turnbuckle face first. Kane stomps at Rey’s head while he’s down in the corner. Kane tags back in Henry. Kane holds Rey as Henry nails a big headbutt. Henry stands on Rey’s chest with all his weight.
Henry covers Rey for a 2 count. Rey tries to tag but Kane gets tagged back in and drops a big elbow. Kane with another 2 count on Rey. Hardy tries to rally the fans as Rey fights back. Kane drops Rey again with a big right hand. Kane goes to the top rope but Rey rolls ut of the way and nails a big flying headscissors, dropping Kane in the turnbuckle. Rey tags Hardy, who goes to the top and nails Kane. Swinging neck breaker by Hardy. Hardy kicks Henry to the floor off the apron. Kane grabs Hardy by the neck but he slides out. Hardy with a bulldog from the top rope. Henry comes in but Hardy drops him over the top rope. Hardy drop toe hold’s Kane into the ropes and Rey nails the 619. Hardy climbs the top rope but Mark Henry picks Rey up from the floor and throws Rey into Hardy, knocking him off the top rope. Kane grabs Hardy and chokeslams him, getting the pinfall and the win.

No DQ, Anything Goes: Shawn Michaels vs. Lance Cade
Back from commercial and Shawn Michaels makes his way to the ring first, limping and looking beat up & pissed off. Lilian Garcia makes the introduction, announcing this match as No DQ and Anything Goes. Out next is Lance Cade, looking kind of ridiculous.
The bell rings and they rush each other trading right hands. Cade levels HBK with a clothesline and starts yelling at him. Cade throws HBK to the floor. Cade pulls a table out from under the ring. Cade picks HBK up and drops his face over the announcers table, followed by more right hands. The crowd chants for HBK. Cade sets up the table as HBK tries to get to his feet. Cade with more right hands. Cade picks up and throws HBK through the table on the floor. Cade stands over HBK yelling at him.
Cade throws HBK back in the ring and grabs a steel chair from ringside. Cade goes to hit HBK but he comes off the mat and starts nailing Cade with left and right hands. HBK picks up the chair and cracks Cade on the top of the head with it. HBK starts beating Cade with the chair over and over again as the ref tries to stop him. Shawn hits Cade about 20 times with the chair and flips out. HBK covers Cade for the pinfall and the win.
Winner: Shawn Michaels
After the match, HBK just stares at Cade as the referee checks on him. Shawn grabs the chair again and starts nailing Cade with it, this time about another 10 or so swings. The crowd breaks out in a huge “HBK” chant as his music plays again and he leaves the ring area this time.
– Back from commercial and Jerry Lawler is in the ring. He announced on RAW tonight that Santino Marella will be defending his Intercontinental Title belt at the Cyber Sunday pay-per-view in three weeks. Fans can vote for Santino’s opponent via text message. The choices are WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper, Goldust and The Honky Tonk Man.
– Lilian Garcia goes to announce a match when Ranjin Singh and The Great Khali come out. Khali rants about the problems with the interview with Johnny Knoxville of Jackass. Khali challenges him to show up on RAW next week. Next, Khali hosts the Kiss Cam. He ends up planting a big kiss on Lilian Garcia and Ranjin tells her Khali will call her. Back to commercial.
Jillian Hall vs. Kelly Kelly
Back from commercial and The Miz and John Morrison are ringside for commentary. Jillian breaks out in a horrible song and dedicated it to Seattle’s own, the late Kurt Cobain. Out next is her opponent, Kelly Kelly. Suddenly Cryme Tyme’s music hits and they come out. They join Miz, Morrison, Cole and Lawler on commentary.
Kelly and Jillian are going back and forth in the ring but it’s hard to pay attention because Miz, Morrison, Shad and JTG sound like a bunch of kids on commentary, going back and forth with insults. Jillian holds Kelly down on the mat in the ring with a knee and then stands on her. Jillian with a backbreaker on Kelly as the two teams won’t shut up. Jillian backs Kelly in the corner and hits her with forearms.
I don’t even know what’s going on in the ring because of what’s going on at commentary. Kelly jumps on Jillian’s back and rolls her up for the pinfall and the win. The commentary was just about ridiculous on this match after a certain point.

– Back from commercial and we get another promo video for John Cena where different WWE Superstars comment on how great Cena is.
#1 Contender’s Match: JBL vs. Batista; Special Referee: Chris Jericho
The World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and special referee for this match comes to the ring first. Lilian begins her introductions as JBL walks down the ramp and to the ring, without his white limousine. Lilian goes to introduce Batista and Jericho whispers something in her ear. She announces a special guest timekeeper and it is William Regal, who makes his way down to the ring. She goes to announce again and Jericho stops her again. She announces a special guest commentator for this match and out comes Randy Orton to ringside.
Back from a quick commercial break and Lilian Garcia finally introduces Batista. The Animal comes out, stares down the ring area and gets ready to go. Batista enters the ring and looks around at everyone at ringside. The bell rings and they lock up. The crowd breaks out in a huge “Batista” chant. JBL hits Batista with a big knee and works him over in the corner. Batista comes out with a huge clothesline and goes for the pin. Jericho is very slow counting the pin and gets a 1 count. Batista backs JBL in the corner and works him over.
Batista takes JBL’s knee out and starts working it over. JBL locks on a Figure Four, Ric Flair style, and tries to make JBL submit in the middle of the ring. JBL tries to touch the ropes but doesn’t. Jericho tells Batista to break the hold anyway. JBL hits a big neckbreaker on Batista and covers for the pin. Jericho makes a super fast count but Batista kicks out. JBL works over Batista in the corner with big right hands.
JBL covers Batista again but this time Jericho counts slow. Batista counters JBL and hits a big suplex. Batista covers for the pin but Jericho just stares at him and doesn’t count. Batista is pissed. Jericho rolls to the outside and distracts Batista. JBL knocks him to the floor. Jericho tells JBL to get back in the ring and turns his back. William Regal comes over and attacks Batista. Jericho and JBL enter the ring. Batista gets thrown back in and JBL covers him as Y2J counts fast but it’s not enough.
JBL applies a strong Full Nelson but Batista powers his way out and comes off the ropes. JBL catches him in a sleeper hold. Batista comes out of it with a back body drop and both men are down. Jericho yells at JBL, telling him to get up. They get to their feet and Batista nails two big clotheslines on JBL. Batista with shoulder thrusts in the corner now on JBL. Batista runs at JBL and Jericho trips him. Batista with a big powerslam on JBL. Regal gets on the apron and Batista decks him and brings him over the top rope. Batista hits a double spear on JBL and Jericho, laying them out. Mike Adamle appears on the ramp and sends out a WWE referee. He counts the pin and Batista gets a 2 count. JBL gets up and they go at it. Batista nails a big Spine Buster and a Batista Bomb on JBL for the pinfall and the win.

After the match, Mike Adamle speaks. Mike Adamle announced that at Cyber Sunday, World Champion Chris Jericho will defend his belt against Batista. The options that fans can vote for as Special Referee are Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold Steve Austin. RAW goes off the air with Batista and everyone looking on.
