Steven Loftin sent in the following report:
Hi, this is Steven here in Monroe, LA. I just got home from the ECW/Smackdown house show at the Civic Center. The building was packed and loud.
The first match was Chavo with Bam Neely vs Evan Bourne. When Chavo came out he was ordering Bam around and causing Bam to get mad. After Bourne won the match, Chavo beat Bourne down and made Bam get in the ring to hold Bourne up. Bam dropped Bourne and clotheslined Chavo, then he left the ring. After which, Bourne hit the Shooting Star Press on Chavo.
The second match was Jeff Hardy vs Vladimir Kozlov. Jeff got the win with two Whisper in the Winds and a Swanton.
The third match was Maryse with Victoria vs Michelle McCool for the Diva’s title. Victoria interfered which caused Eve Torres to take her down. Michelle McCool won with her implant buster type finisher.
The fourth match was Shelton Benjamin vs Jimmy Wang Yang. Shelton won with his finisher to retain the US title.
The fifth match was Finlay with Hornswoggle vs Mike Knox. After a tadpole splash by Hornswoggle, Finlay hit Knox with the Shillelagh to get the win.
The sixth match was a Tag Team Fatal Fourway for the titles. Jesse and Festus vs Hawkins and Rider vs Miz and Morrison vs Carlito and Primo. Hawkins and Rider won after one of them pinned Festus by cheating.
The seventh match was the ECW title match between Matt Hardy and Mark Henry with Tony Atlas. Teddy Long came out to let us know that we text voted the No DQ stipulation for this match and that if Atlas hit Hardy, Henry would lose. Hardy delivered a chair shot to Henry’s head while his head was against the steps that Henry had thrown into the ring earlier. Afterward, Hardy hit the side effect and then the Twist of Fate to win.
The main event was Undertaker and HHH vs MVP and Khali. MVP came out and dissed on the Mailman Karl Malone who was in attendance in front row. Basically saying MVP was FEDEX because he delivers. Taker was dominated for most of the match until the hot tag to HHH. Taker with the chokeslam to MVP and HHH pedigreed Khali for the win. They were posing in the ring as we left.
