WWE Smackdown & ECW House Show Results – 8/3/08

Before the lights went out Maria came out and made her way through the crowd.
Then the announcer said HHH would not be there and that we could vote on the main event of Jeff Hardy vs MVP. Then he turned it over to Maria who gave front row seats to some people.
Then the first match was Finlay w/ Hornswoggle def. Mike Knox.
Second match was Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas def Matt Hardy.
Third match was Cherry and Eve def Natalya and Maryse.
Then Maria came back out and chose a kid from the crowd to be a manager for the next match.
Fourth match was Shelton Benjamin def Mr Kennedy w/ Fan. Interesting note here is that Shelton entered first and then while Kennedy was cutting his promo with the kid from the crowd Shelton walked to the back and then was given a second entrance.
Fifth match was Big Show def The Great Khali. When I heard we were going to be seeing this match I thought total snorefest but it wasn’t so bad.
Then we went to intermission.
Sixth match was Hawkins and Ryder def Jesse and Festus.
Seventh match was R-Truth def Brian Kendrick.
Main Event was a No DQ match as Jeff Hardy def MVP.
Couple of side notes from the show was Maria was limping around pretty badly during her two segments and then as she exited the arena.
Then Umaga showed up after the event was over driven by a doctor with his leg taped up and on crutches.
