MMAJunkie has confirmed with a source close to Jake O’Brien that he has been resigned by the UFC and will make his return to the cage on July 19th to take on Cain Velasquez.
O’Brien, who was cut from the UFC after he lost to Andrei Arlovski, resigned with the company and will take on the relative newcomer in Velasquez.
Another bout added to the card is a lightweight clash between Hermes Franca and Frankie Edgar. The two lightweights were scheduled to fight at UFC 87 in August but have been bumped up to the July 19th that is quickly picking up steam.
The card will take place on SpikeTV.
