Results from the TNA house show in Coventry, England. The Skydome was sold out. I’m guessing 3,500 to 4,000 people attended, not too sure of the official Skydome capacity.
Motorcity Machine Guns pinned Robert Roode and James Storm. The Machine Guns were well over with the crowd.
Earl Hebner was introduced as the official for the next match, some ‘You screwed Bret’ chants broke out while he made his way to the ring.
Awesome Kong retained the TNA Woman’s championship against Gail Kim. A solid match for them, but not much of note happened.
Abyss defeated Rhino. Abyss had some heat from the crowd, which I think took him slightly by surprise considering his comeback at Slammiversary.
AJ Styles beat Doug Williams & Jay Lethal in a 3 way match, afterwards, Styles got up then raised Lethal and Williams up and the 3 posed together in the ring.
Intermission
Borash came out and did the TNA Today segment, during which he brought Dixie Carter out. A ‘thank you Dixie’ chant broke out during this. He promoted TNA coming back to the UK in January, and hyped up the possibility of a TNA PPV taking place in the UK.
LAX defeated Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams. A ‘Mrs. Steiner’ chant broke out during the match. The finish happened when Homicide tossed Petey Williams to the outside, then took him out with a dive which took them onto the entrance way, in the ring Hernandez hit the border toss on Sonjay for the win.
Kurt Angle came out for a promo, he told the crowd that ‘Vince can kiss my ass’ and talked briefly about coming to TNA and talked up Jeff Jarrett for his vision which resulted in TNA. He said the roster had dedicated the UK tour to Jeff. A lot of ‘thank you Jeff’ chants during this. Kurt went on to mention Jill Jarrett, this brought a couple of moments of applause from the crowd, in the end, Kurt said “well I might as well bring him out now” and Jeff Jarrett came down to the ring. He got a massive reception from the crowd. He said when he started TNA, he wanted to get young guys that would move up the ladder in TNA, then mentioned Samoa Joe & AJ Styles as some of these superstars. Jeff said when he looked at the other promotions, the only person he wanted in TNA was Kurt Angle.
Samoa Joe defeated Booker for the TNA World Heavyweight title. Booker was funny on the mic, firstly he paid tribute to the UK fans for putting TNA on the map, and then telling people to get all the TNA stuff they can buy. He said people knew his situation, that he was the most decorated superstar on the roster and he kept a clean locker room! He put over he was going to beat Joe for the title tonight. A solid match. Joe was well over with the crowd. He hit the rear naked choke to end it after about 25 minutes.
Overall a great solid showing from the TNA guys.

Just got back from the live show in coventry, and i have to say it was absolutely fantastic, much much better than any WWE show i’ve seen, the wrestlers seem so much more commited and happy to be there, i even went to the fan acces in the day, and they were all happy and talkative. The crowd was fantastic, there was no end to the noise. There were screens on the entrance stage too, with the entrance videos and the in ring action
JB was host for the evening
Roode & Storm vs MMG
Brilliant match to start the show, mmg were on fire, and storm and roode were classic heels, a really good match, mmg got the win
Womens title, kong vs Gail Kim
Another good match, kim kept trying to knock her down, really well worked, kong of course got the win after an implant buster
Abyss vs rhino
It was a good match, but it certainly wasnt the best on the card, and abyss was wearing his new attire he had at slammiversary, who eventually got the pin with the back hole slam
AJ Styles vs Jay Lethal vs Doug Williams
This was the best match ive ever seen live. Great x division stuff, and a great finish . Williams rolled up lethal, the turned it into a german suplex with bridge, then as he went for the pin, styles turned the pin into a styles clash, and got the win
Then there was an intermission
Tag team Championships
LAX vs Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt
Really good, (LAX) eventually winning with a border toss
Angle then came out to thank everybody, and then introduced a special someone.. Jeff Jarrett! the crowd erupted, and he gave an emotional speach thanking all the fans and the wrestlers for everything
TNA heavyweight title
Joe vs Booker
Booker cut a promo getting the crowd going against him, joe came out to a great ovation, another really good match, Joe evetually got booker to tap out to the clutch
Not many boo’s on the night, crowd was into pretty much everyone
Biggest pops
1. Jeff Jarrett
2. Kurt Angle
3. AJ Styles
4. Samoa Joe
5. LAX
Biggest Heat:
1. Booker T
2. Sonjay Dutt
and that was pretty much it
Fantastic Day all round

This is a quick recap of what went down
Jeremy Borash was introduced as the host of the evening to a big pop. He announced that there was going to be several backstage passes given out to the loudest TNA fans in attendance. I didn’t get one 🙁
The first bout was The Motor City Machine Guns vs James Storm and Robert Roode. The Guns came out to a bigger pop than JB while Storm and Roode got some major heat. Motor City Machine Guns defeated Roode and Storm with the ASCS Rush for the 1, 2, 3.
JB introduced Earl Hebner who came out to some major heat.
Next up was Awesome Kong defending the TNA Knockouts Championship against Gail Kim. Kong got some heat from the crowd while Gail Kim got a pop. Kong won with the Implant Buster to get the pin.
JB reminded us about the backstage passes again just before he introduced the next match “Battle of the Giants” Abyss vs Rhino. Surprisingly,Abyss was heel for this match.
JB then talked about the TNA iMPACT! video game which was really being pushed that night. He then introduced the next match “The Anarchist” Doug Williams vs “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal vs “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (He came out with his old entrance and music, alot of people were singing along to his theme) This was a good spot match and my personal favourite of the night. AJ Styles won by hitting the Styles Clash on Doug Williams. This was the last match before intermission.
We came back from intermission with Jeremy Borash filming an episode of TNA Today with Dixie Carter coming out and announcing they will be coming back to the UK in January.
Next up was a TNA Tag Team Championship match with LAX (huge pop) defending against X Division Champion Petey Williams and “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt. LAX was very over with the crowd. Hernandez won the match for his team with the Border Toss for the 1, 2, 3.
JB now introduced Kurt Angle who cut a promo about how Vince McMahon can kiss his ass. (Many “What?” chants during the first part of his promo. He then talked about how many memories he had of the UK, then he started to talk about Jeff and Jill Jarrett built TNA to what it is today before introducing… JEFF JARRETT!!!! He got a huge pop that was inferior only to the one AJ Styles got. He said he had 2 groups of people to thank: the fans, and the roster (specifically AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle). There were many “Thank you Jeff” and “Thank you Jill” chants during this promo.
When they left, JB announced the main event Samoa Joe defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Booker T. Booker T came out to a mixed reaction and cut ashort promo before the match about how he got screwed out of the KOTM at Slammiversary and he is going to beat Joe for the title. Samoa Joe got a big pop. During the match he hit not 1 but 2 Ole Kicks with the crowd doing the proper chants from the RoH days. Joe won with a Koquina Clutch to force Booker to tap out.
Overall an enjoyable house show. My match of the night was Doug Williams vs Jay Lethal vs AJ Styles. Some great spots in that match, could have lasted a bit longer though.

Tony Lee says
Matty needs to get his facts right. The chant was ‘MIDGET Steiner’ and only turned into ‘MRS Steiner’ after some of the crowd misheard.
