The UFC confirmed today that UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman, who was scheduled to be the original opponent for former WWE star Brock Lesnar at UFC 87 on August 9 in Minneapolis, has suffered a knee injury and has been pulled from the fight. Lesnar is still slated to compete on the card and his new opponent will be announced soon.
Just added to the UFC 87 event is Georges St-Pierre defending his newly won UFC Welterweight Title against Jon Fitch, which will main event the card after Lesnar vs. Coleman had been touted as the main event. Also on the card is Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta in a fight that will likely determine a #1 contender for the UFC Lightweight Title.
