–World Wrestling Entertainment is currently advertising its June PPV in Dallas, TX as “WWE presents Night of Champions.” The PPV, which takes place on June 29, is normally referred to as Vengeance during that month and has been for the last few years.
While WWE’s website is listing its June 29 PPV as “The Night of Champions”, the company is still listing the show as Vengeance on its main page. Thanks to everyone who sent that in.
–Jim Ross noted in his recent blog that he recently underwent a colonoscopy and had 3-4 non-cancerous polyps removed. Ross compared this procedure to his ordeal in 2005 as “a day at the beach.” Ross noted that he was still under the weather at WrestleMania last weekend. He will be at RAW in Albany, NY this Monday. On behalf of the staff here at the website, we would like to wish Ross a speedy recovery!
–Dee sent this in: I’m just letting you guys know that Ric Flair was the guest PA annoucer for the New Orleans Hornets/Golden State Warriors NBA game today. He did the home team starting line-up intros, and of course, the crowd went nuts for him. The game actually aired on ABC, and they gave him a decent amount of air-time, and with none of the snide comments that usually come whenever wrestlers do something like this. If I am not mistaken, I think I even heard a few “Woo’s” come through the PA system, which probably means that the Hornets have added it as one of their sound effects that they use during a game.
