Do you watch pro wrestling? Sure, we all have at one point or another. There is that appeal of seeing large greased up men in tights grappling with each other.
Add that to make-up and trash talking, and you have an all around good time for the entire family. There is no question now that wrestling is fake fighting, but the entertainment value of the entire buildup to the actual fight has kept viewers intrigued for years. Because of the entertainment bestowed upon us for years, it is only fitting that one of the biggest names in pro wrestling should receive his part of history on the Hollywood walk of fame. Vince McMahon, the long time promoter of pro wrestling in the WWE was immortalized on Friday.
McMahon humbly thanked all the wrestlers and the fans for making it happen before jumping into his stage shtick seen by all of us on television. Vince owns the WWE, but has appeared in the ring several times over the years, often times to many boos from the fans. In all reality, it is a giant theatre act. Being the evil antagonist to his wrestlers and the fans “on stage” is of little concern to McMahon because love him or hate him, money is going into his pockets.
Aside from giving us the entertainment which goes best with Busch beer and macaroni and cheese, acting careers of The Rock and Hulk Hogan were started from their participation in pro wrestling. Should we be thanking or cursing McMahon for being responsible for igniting their acting careers?
