– There is talk in TNA about bringing back the X Division World Cup. The last time they did it they had a lot of problems working with outside organizations such as New Japan and CMLL. However they are still looking at working both with CMLL and New Japan to put together the four-man team concept this year.
– Jonny Fairplay recently claimed on a radio show that he was going to sign with TNA. Fairplay was the first person to be eliminated on the new season of “Survivor” on February 7th. He asked people to vote him off because at the time his girlfriend was pregnant and he wanted to be with her. He suggested an angle to Vince Russo to have him come in as a babyface to coincide with him being asked to be voted off of Survivor. Everyone liked the idea, but when Fairplay said he was going to sign everyone got cold on him. He was announced to the crowd at last week’s Impact tapings, so it appears he’s in. The word backstage is that no one is really high on him except Dixie Carter.
