– ECW on Sci-Fi opens up tonight with Ric Flair coming to the ring to talk to Tazz.
Tazz congratulates Flair on being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Flair thanks Tazz and the WWE fans, saying it’s an honor to be inducted. Flair says being the first active wrestler inducted might be the biggest honor of his career. Flair says this isn’t symbolic of him retiring, which he doesn’t see in the near future. Flair says he is honored to be a part of ECW tonight, Whooooo. Out comes Elijah Burke.
Elijah says welcome to the house of Extreme, his house. Shelton Benjamin’s music hits and out he comes to the ring. Shelton says no disrespect to Elijah, but great minds think alike and he wanted to be the second on congratulating Flair. Shelton gives Flair his props for his career. Shelton introduces himself as the new Gold Standard of professional wrestling and says Flair’s time is over. Flair tells them both that nothing they’ve accomplished combined equals the 16 time World Championships he has held. Flair begins to Whooo and Shelton clocks him. Elijah and Shelton attack Flair until CM Punk runs out. Punks clears house and stands in the ring with Ric Flair as we go to commercial.
– Back from commercial and Armando Estrada meets Burke and Benjamin backstage. Estrada announces a tag team main event tonight of CM Punk and Ric Flair vs. Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin.
Kofi Kingston vs. Jason Riggs
Kofi Kingston gets the win after controlling the match with his unique offense as he always does. Kofi hits his finisher and gets the pinfall for the win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
After the match, Joey Styles gets in the ring and asks Kofi to sum up his experience in ECW so far. Kofi says to him, ECW is like Paradise and when there’s trouble in Paradise, he is there. Kofi does his “boom, boom, boom” and celebrates with the crowd before we go to commercial.
– Another new Wrestlemania song? It’s 40 days away.
– Styles and Tazz are at the desk and talking serious about Hornswoggle. They go to the footage from Raw and Joey warns us that it’s difficult to watch. The video package as usual is chopped up with visual effects, sound distortions and everything else to amplify the severity and seriousness of it.
– Styles in his serious tone said there is bleeding on Hornswoggle’s brain. Check WWE.com for details.
– Morrison and Miz head to ringside. Styles plugs the “dirt sheet” on WWE.com written by Miz and Morrison. Tazz says he loves it.
– Colin Delany and Dreamer make their way to the ring now.
The Miz vs. Colin Delaney
– Miz mocks Delaney to start and slams him down. He taunts Colin some more and pops him with a forearm. Miz pushes Colin’s head into the turnbuckle and throws a right hand. A running clothesline into the corner and Delany falls to the mat. He hangs Colin up on the ropes and jumps over the top pulling his throat across it. Dreamer slams his fists on the apron trying to rally the crowd. Colin fights back with some fists that have Miz rocking, but Morrison trips him up on the outside. The ref ejects Morrison from ringside. Delaney school boy’s the distracted Miz for a 2 count. Then Miz hits the running knee and reality check for 3.
Winner: Miz
– After the match Miz beats on Colin some more and Dreamer makes the save. Morrison runs back in the ring and takes out Dreamer with the corkscrew neckbreaker. They lay out Delaney with a double flapjack maneuver and ECW heads to a break.
– After commercials, Styles sends us back to Raw again to hype Maria and Playboy. They show her win over Beth Phoenix.
– They send it to Kelly Kelly in the back. She says Maria has always wanted to be in Playboy and is proud of her. She called it prestigious and glamorous. Kelly Kelly says even she would want to be in Playboy. The camera then scopes her body out from head to toe. Kelly asks us what do you think? Styles says Maria is in LA shooting the pictorial now. Tune into Raw to see footage from it.
– Stevie Richards is on his way to the ring for a match. Again they show clips from the interview a couple of weeks ago.
– His opponent is already in the ring.
Stevie Richards vs. James Curtis
They lock up to start and Curtis hits a shoulder block then a clothesline. He works on Richards’ throat in the corner and then brings him into the middle of the ring for some kicks to the back. He puts in a headlock and Richards battles out with elbows to the stomach. Stevie misses with a clothesline, but Curtis sells it. Stevie then hits a neckbreaker and a big running avalanche in the corner. He hits the Stevie T and gets win the win.
Winner: Stevie Richards
– After the match they go to the Raw Rebound. It’s the encounter between Pretty Boy Floyd and the Big Show.
– Before going to commercial, they show Punk & Flair walking the halls backstage. Flair let’s out a few woo’s.
– Flair’s music hits and its time for the main event. Tazz calls it a privilege to have Flair here on ECW. He says he can’t believe he got to interview him and he’s loving it.
– Punk gets a separate entrance. Tazz and Styles hype the opportunity Punk has in getting to team with Flair.
– Burke comes out and stops ringside waiting for his partner…
– Shelton Benjamin who follows out.
Ric Flair & CM Punk vs. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke
-Punk and Burke start it off. Styles mentions that since this is a tag match, Flair’s career is not on the line. Burke hits a shoulder block out of a headlock. Punk comes back with some offense and tags in Flair. He hits some chops and hip toss then goes for a cover. He gets 2 and Burke gets up and pokes the eye. He goes up top, but Flair throws him off. Flair goes up top and Benjamin tries to throw him off, but Flair pushes him aside. Flair leaps off the top rope and hits a double clothesline! They head to break 3:00 in.
– Back from the break Benjamin and Flair are in the ring. Tazz says during the break they’ve worked on Ric’s knee. Benjamin has that knee in a leg lock style hold. Flair reverses it and gets out of the hold. Flair gets in the corner and Benjamin runs at him and Flair moves. Shelton eats the buckle and Flair makes the hot tag to Punk.
– He hits the running knee on Shelton and goes for the bulldog, but Shelton throws him off with big time height. Burke gets the tag and hits the handstand elbow in the corner, then a snap suplex that gets a 2 count. A tag to Shelton is made and he goes for a power bomb into the turnbuckle and something happened that wasn’t supposed to and Punk spills to the outside. Flair helps him back in and they go for it again. Punk slips out and hits a big enziguiri. A tag to Flair and a tag to Burke are made.
– Flair with chops and a clothesline, then a big back body drop. He struts around the ring then goes for a vertical suplex that Benjamin interferes on and Burke lands on top. Punk runs in and him and Shelton end up outside.
– Burke goes for the Elijah Express and Flair moves. Burke crashes into the turnbuckles and comes out holding his knees. Flair slaps on the figure-four and Burke taps like crazy.
