Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that TNA is looking at broadcasting Impact live on Thursdays. Right now it is being discussed internally as an “experiment” since the company has very little experience in running live television broadcasts.
According to Johnson, if TNA were to go forward with live broadcasts they would be every other week, so they would do a live broadcast on Thursday and then tape the following week the day after on Friday.
The tentative plan right now is to potentially broadcast the March 27th edition of Impact live. This would coincide with WWE’s WrestleMania weekend in Orlando, Florida. The thinking behind this is they may be able to attract several tourists to the Impact Zone at Universal Studios to see the product first-hand.
