World Wrestling Enter tainment makes a stop in the state of Alabama for a three-day stint.
The superstars visit the Dothan Civic Center today first for a RAW house show (show not televised).
Bell time is 5:30 p.m. and the ticket box office opens at 3.
Upper balcony tickets are still available for $31.
The main event features WWE champion Randy Orton defending the title against “Y2J” Chris Jericho.
Also, the legendary “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, making a house show appearance for the first time in a while, reunites with Triple H as D-Generation X take on Umaga and Snitsky.
WWE women’s champion Beth Phoenix defends the title against Mickie James.
Other superstars scheduled to appear include Carlito, Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes, The Highlanders, William Regal, Super Crazy, Charlie Haas, Santino Marella and Maria.
Card subject to change.
Following the Dothan show, the RAW superstars head farther down south to Mobile for a Monday Night RAW national live broadcast. I’m sure there will be another Jeff Hardy-Randy Orton confrontation, and expect “Y2J” to try to gain revenge on John Bradshaw Layfield for his vicious attack last week.
On Tuesday, the Smackdown and ECW rosters will be at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a Smackdown TV taping that will be shown later in the week, followed by an ECW show that will be shown live on Sci-Fi.
# Harris leaves TNA for WWE: Total Nonstop Action announced Friday that “Wildcat” Chris Harris is no longer with the company. Several Internet sites have reported that Harris has come to terms with a deal with the WWE. Harris was formerly one-half of the tag team “America’s Most Wanted” with James Storm, in which they were seven-time National Wrestling Alliance world tag team champions.
# Cena back on the big screen: WWE superstar John Cena, who’s still recuperating from a torn pectoral muscle, will star in WWE Films’ next project, “12 Rounds.” Filming for the movie begins Feb. 25 in New Orleans. The storyline centers around an evil crime lord kidnapping the girlfriend of detective Danny Baxter (Cena), forcing him to go 12 rounds around the streets of the “Big Easy.”
That’s funny. The plot seems to be very similar to Cena’s previous movie, “The Marine,” where his girlfriend in that film also gets kidnapped.
The film is set to be released Sept. 5.
# MMA event in B’ham: Xtreme Freestyle Fighting will hold a mixed-martial arts event Saturday at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

2006 NAIA national champion and former Gardendale wrestler John Salter will make his third appearance in an MMA fight.
Pinson Valley native Marcus “The Bruiser” Brimage will make his pro debut to take on Georgia-based fighter Bryan Goldsby.
