A couple of weeks ago, I was looking through a TV Guide magazine that just happened to be within arms-reach during a quite boring time. After flipping through it, I saw an excerpt about one of my favorite shows: The Apprentice. Apparently, Vince and Donald are teaming up once again to dominate the television screen. Here’s what I found:

Despite flagging ratings, Donald Trump’s entrepreneurial competition returns for a seventh season, this time as Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, 9/8c), its first “stars edition.” Among the players: country singer Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Marilu Henner, boxing champ Lennox Lewis, KISS’ Gene Simmons and former Apprentice diva Omarosa. The winner doesn’t get a job, but $250,000 of Trump money will go to a favorite charity. We chatted up the mogul about his show’s new turn.- Ileane Rudolph
How many celebrities applied?
100. We took 14, but a couple of them canceled because they couldn’t stand the concept of being fired. That included a [controversial] former baseball player. The level of visciousness, hatred and competitiveness was unbelievable. They fought hard because they have images to protect.
Who most surprised you with their skill?
Baldwin was much better than I expected and Lewis is a standout. He not only has physical strength but great mental strength.
Ivanka and Don Jr. are back in the boardroom. Any others?
George is back for a number of shows, and then we have CNBC’s Jim Cramer and WWE head Vince McMahon. It’s wild!
I’ve also read reports on Vince McMahon recently purchasing a posh $4 million penthouse suite from one of Trump’s many luxury residential towers. Reports are pointing towards New York Daily News as the source, but that is awaiting confirmation by myself. It seems as though the relationship between the of the largest moguls of their respective industries are becoming quite the best friends lately. It’s really not surprising if you’ve followed both of their careers.
