Dear All,
As 2007 closes, here in the quiet of the PTW Office, by light of decorations in the window; it’s easy to get very retrospective about PTW this year.
In March, my long time dream came true, with the start of Power Trip Wrestling; and our first show – “Defiance”. From there we would run shows through to November, including my personal favourite in July when we raised nearly £500 for Breakthrough:Breast Cancer.
Plenty of wrestlers have appeared for PTW this year, some have come & gone, some have stayed around; but none, no matter how small or big their part, will be forgotten. PTW has punched above it’s weight all year long, and we’ve consistently pushed the envelope and ignored anyone who said that we couldn’t do it.
I thank all of you, for your part in this. From websites who’ve printed us and helped advertise us, to sponsors who’ve helped us financially, to wrestlers who’ve wrestled, fans who’ve supported us, friends in the wrestling business in other countries; every single person who has affected Power Trip Wrestling in a positive way this year – this is for you.
Christmas is a powerful time. My daughter had her first school assembly this week, and my son was in the church play today. It’s a time to appreciate your family, your friends, and all that you have. I know I’m lucky. I have all of that, and PTW as well.
Take the time to think of those not as lucky as us. If you’re reading this, you obviously have the internet. Which makes us better off than so many people, just in that pure instance. Whilst we’re enjoying all that we have, say a prayer for those all over the world who don’t have even half as much as we do.
