Bayonne, NJ:
JAPW SHAKES UP 10TH ANNIVERSARY CARD
Due to fan requests and a change in management, JAPW is ecstatic to announce that we have changed some matches around for the huge 10th Anniversary show, which will take place on 10/27 at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, NJ! JAPW has always been a fan-first company, which is why we are making these changes, as fans have flooded JAPW offices asking for these matches. The change in management starts today and while we celebrate 10 years on 10/27, we will also be starting a new era in JAPW.
With that said, here is the revised line-up for the 10th anniversary show!
For the JAPW Heavyweight Championship
(c) Low Ki defends against “The Notorious 187” Homicide!
The fans asked for it and the fans got it, on 10/27 the two biggest stars ever in JAPW history will do battle on the biggest JAPW stage of them all for the biggest prize of them all- the JAPW Heavyweight Championship!
You can not talk about the history of JAPW without mentioning Low Ki or Homicide. Both men have given their blood, sweat and tears for JAPW. Both men are mutliple time champions in JAPW. Both wrestlers are guys that everyone looks up to in the wrestling world. Without Homicide or Low Ki there might not even be a JAPW 10th anniversary show and for their efforts, sacrifice, determination, endurance, pride and hardwork both are being rewarded by being placed in the main event of the biggest show ever in JAPW history!
Obviously, both wrestlers have a long history together. Low Ki is Homicide’s best student and a true embodiment of the trainings and hard love teaching of Homicide. While both have gone on to team together and achieve singles success away from each other as well, there still is a sacred sensei student-teacher bond between the two.
Recently, both battled in a match for Homicide’s JAPW Tag Team Championships, which Homicide holds with Hernandez. Hernandez was the one to get the pinfall on Low Ki that night and arguably has earned himself a title shot against Low Ki. However, when JAPW.net caught up to the towering Hernandez, Hernandez said that “On 10/27, it will be Homicide’s night. I will have my night in JAPW but at the 10th Anniversary show, only two men deserve the spotlight and that is Low Ki & my 5150 partner, Homicide.”
Low Ki is not thrilled about having to defend his championship against the man who brought him to the dance to JAPW. While Homicide battled throughout the years in JAPW, even being part of the first anniversary show, it was Homicide who brought Low Ki into JAPW and molded him for success. Low Ki has nothing but respect for the man who helped make him, but on 10/27 it will be up to Low Ki to break the man, if he wants to walk out of Rahway with the JAPW Championship.
Homicide a 7-Time JAPW Champion hasn’t said much about his title match against his SST running mate Low Ki. Homicide would only tell JAPW.net that he will tear the roof off of Rahway and left it at that.
Two proud men who have had electric and emotional matches will pour their heart out in the ring one more time, but only one man can win. Perhaps lost all in this is the JAPW Championship, but the JAPW Championship being on the line makes this match oh so much richer.
The word “Icon” is a word thrown around loosely in the wrestling business, but undeniably, on 10/27 the two icons of JAPW clash for the most prestigious championship – The JAPW Heavyweight Title. If you need more reasons to be hyped for this match than you simply don’t understand the magnitude of the careers of Homicide & Low Ki.
10-27, the 10th Anniversary Show,
Homicide vs Low Ki for the JAPW Championship.
This will be the match that all other matches are compared to in JAPW after it goes down.
RHINO w/Johnny D. VS NECRO BUTCHER
SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE- LOW LIFE LOUIE RAMOS
With the announcement of Homicide vs Low Ki, that leaves Rhino & Necro Butcher empty handed. Johnny D. was furious about his client being taken out of the JAPW Championship match and demanded that Rhino takes out his frustrations on Necro Butcher.
This easily will be a match of title implications, as both men have their eyes set on the prize – the JAPW Heavyweight Championship. However, only one man can win this match and stake their claim for the right to wear the JAPW Heavyweight Championship.
Due to the amount of fierce brutality and pain that will be inflicted in this match, JAPW officials realized that a normal referee wouldn’t be able to control these two superbeasts. That is why JAPW has looked hard and far for a referee who can keep up with the kick-ass in-your-face style of both competitors in that match. After searching, JAPW has signed former JAPW Suicidal Champion & Potential Future JAPW Hall of Famer – Low Life Louie Ramos to officiate this contest!
Low Life Louie is as sick as they come in JAPW. Louie, who was a major part of JAPW during the “BLOOD IS BETTER” Bayonne days, was ecstatic when told of the news that he’d be reffing a match of such a large proportion. Louie, who has endured barbed wire bats, thumbtacks, FIRE, tables, barbed-wired dildos and any other weapons known to man, knows what suffering and pain is all about. It will be his experience and no-nonsense attitude to make sure this match is officiated right! However, one must wonder with all the violence going on, can Louie be satisfied by just counting 3?!?!
Necro Butcher looks forward to decimating the former JAPW Champion Rhino. Necro knows by defeating “The Manbeast” Rhino, it will put him on the upper plateau of JAPW wrestlers. This match promises to be F@#$ing violent and with the lure of a JAPW title shot in the future, both men promise to bring their A-games.
CROWBAR THROWS THE CROWBAR AWAY!
Long time wrestler and an original from JAPW’s beginnings, Devon “Crowbar” Storm will be wrestling at the 10 Year Anniversary Show. However, while Crowbar has achieved national fame for his time under the Crowbar name, Crowbar wants to go back to the name that he started using when he appeared on JAPW’s first show & JAPW’s first anniversary show – DEVON STORM!
Devon Storm knows what he has to do for JAPW fans and plans on bringing everything he’s got on 10/27. Several wrestlers looking to make a name for themselves, such as Kevin Matthews, EC Negro & many others are all lining up asking for a crack at Devon Storm, thinking that if they can take down Storm, they will become top dog in JAPW.
Devon Storm is not one to take things lying down and has guaranteed that no matter who he faces he will bringing his best stuff and eagerly awaits the challenge of any one in the JAPW locker room.
CRYME TYME WILL BE IN THE HOUSE!
Yo, yo, yo, to confirm internet rumors, CRYME TYME will be in attendance at the JAPW 10th Anniversary show. Both members will be signing autographs for fans and have made it known that they are interested in getting physical at the show. Who’s been targeted by Cryme Tyme? Find out at the 10 Year Anniversary show on 10/27!
BEST OF THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHTS 10 HAS BEEN CHANGED!
B Boy vs Joker vs M Dogg 20 vs Bandido Jr vs Sal Rinuaro vs Seth Delay
JAPW is happy to announce that BEST OF THE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS, the annual scramble match between the best light heavyweights in the area is set for the 10th Anniversary Show. Many names have contacted JAPW, looking to make a mark and get their name out in this match. This match has launched & made careers for many wrestlers, as previous wrestlers, such as Jack Evans, The Grim Reefer, Azraiel & many others have went on to greater success after this match.
“The New Age Punisher” B-Boy was the first wrestler booked in this match. With B-Boy looking to retire, B-Boy wants to go out on top, which is why he has immediately thrown his name in the hat for this match.
M-Dogg 20, no stranger to JAPW rings, has also entered this match. M-Dogg is a veteran of this match, participating in previous BOTLHW’s, and is looking to secure a full-time roster spot. He can do so by winning this match.
Sal Rinuaro & Seth Delay return to JAPW and both have earned a position in this years annual classic after making their JAPW debut at Calm Before The Storm. While part of a losing effort, both wrestlers impressed management and the JAPW fans with his performance that night, they return to JAPW and want to prove that they two of the best in the world and prove that each of them deserve a full time roster position in JAPW.
JAPW home-grown star, Bandido Jr. has also entered this bout. For Bandido Jr., it is his chance to stand out on his own with La Familia.
Eddie Kingston and his BLKOUT group have also petitioned and secured a spot in the marquee match of the JAPW 10 Year Anniversary Show as Joker will be representing BLKOUT, giving them a presence in 3 matches on 10/27.
Joker who epitomizes the Strong Style that JAPW is well known for will bring his unique viciousness to a JAPW ring for the first time and will be looking to score big time in a match that has so much history and means so much to JAPW as a company. Will Eddie Kingston and BLKOUT Succeed in ruining the JAPW 10 Year Anniversary Show???
JAPW Tag Team Champion Hernandez To Be In Action!
With the two brightest stars ever in JAPW history doing battle in the main event, Hernandez won’t be teaming with his JAPW Tag Team Champion partner Homicide at the 10 Year Anniversary Show. While Hernandez realizes that this epic main event will define what pro wrestling is in JAPW, Hernandez isn’t taking a step back from anyone. Hernandez has requested and has been granted a match against anyone in JAPW. Hernandez has been issued an open contract, but will who be brave enough, or perhaps stupid enough to sign it? One thing is for sure: whoever takes on the impressive Hernandez will have a long night ahead of them!
#1 Tag Team Contenders Match
Jay Lethal & Azraiel vs BLKOUT (Sabian & Ruckus)
With some changes on the show, things might’ve been made a little easier for BLKOUT to make a statement at the 10th Anniversary show. While BLKOUT loses a chance to win the tag team championships, they gain the opportunity to make some serious noise against the former JAPW tag team champions, Lethal & Azraiel!
BLKOUT, who have been off and on with JAPW, have made it clear that after Eddie Kingston made his stand at “Calm Before the Storm”, BLKOUT will be in the house at the 10th Anniversary Show. BLKOUT has stated that they will take over JAPW, and they don’t care if they have to take out LAX, Low Ki or even JAPW promoter Fat Frank!
Lethal & Azraiel, two homegrown JAPW stars, who have stolen shows in the past and have made every championship they’ve chased for mean so much more, will take on the task that LAX peviously had, and that is to rid JAPW of BLKOUT!
To give Lethal & Azraiel an incentive to take out BLKOUT, this match is a number 1 contenders match to the JAPW tag team championships. This match is Lethal & Azraiel’s to lose, as they already were guaranteed a rematch. If BLKOUT can defeat Lethal & Azraiel, they will become the new number 1 contender.
JAPW officials are fed-up of BLKOUT’s threats and menacing tactics and are pulling no punches with this match. With a motivated and fired up Lethal & Azraiel, BLKOUT better bring their best, or they’ll be looking at ceiling lights.
With Kingston calling out JAPW and BLKOUT threatening violence and anarchy, could for the first time in their careers, can Lethal & Azraiel be saviors to JAPW? Like the plague and other viruses & epidemics, the best way to prevent massive harm & destruction is to nip it in the bud before it starts. Will Lethal & Azraiel turn down the ruthless and maniacal members of BLKOUT? If they don’t, JAPW may never be the same again.
And in previously announced contests:
ARCHADIA DEMANDS & GETS RESPECT
We told you before “Calm Before The Storm” that we were getting a weird vibe from Archadia. At “Calm Before The Storm” the world saw what we noticed, and that is Archadia is a new man. Demanding respect and feeling under-appreciated, Archadia devised a devious attack that saw him lay out JAPW New Jersey State Champion, The Grim Reefer.
Despite winning a huge match over Sal Rinuaro & Seth Delay, Archadia has felt that he has been slighted by JAPW management, and has decided to take matters in his own hands, leaving Reefer battered & bruised after several vicious & sinister ladder shots.
As a result of the attack, perhaps Reefer let his emotions get the best of him, as it was he who challenged Archadia to a ladder match at the 10th Anniversary show. Reefer vs Archadia for the JAPW NJ State Championship, in a Ladder Match, is officially set.
Reefer, who’s been on a roll, literally, since winning the JAPW NJ State title from Frankie Kazarian earlier this year, not only goes into this match as a champion, but as a man possessed, as Reefer made it clear he plans on ending Archadia’s career at the 10th Anniversary show.
Reefer, who wants to let his actions speak for themselves, did give JAPW.net the following quote, “Tell Archadia it is over. If the guy wanted a title match, I would’ve just given him the match. Instead this punk wants to play chutes and ladders and at the anniversary show it’s going to feel like smoking a fattie when I’m up 20 feet on the ladder, celebrating with the fans with the prestigious JAPW NJ State Title and looking at the broken piles of bones & that bloody mess that people call Archadia.”
Archadia, who seemingly is winning the mind-game war, wouldn’t say much about his upcoming title match, as Archadia felt he explained himself at Calm Before the Storm. However, Archadia would go on to say that, “Reefer was champion for over 6 months and how many title shots did I get? None. Reefer is lying if he told you he’d give me a title shot. I see how things are done here and you have to look out for number 1 at all times. Reefer can’t even go to sleep now without thinking about me, and if I didn’t scramble his brain up enough from the shots to the head with the ladder, and if his head isn’t screwed up enough with all that crap he smokes, you can trust me, Reefer will be rocking back and forth like a little mental patient after I finally get what I truly deserve- and that is MY JAPW NJ State championship.”
Not only is the JAPW NJ State Title on the line at the 10th Anniversary Show, but pride, respect and unbridled fury are also on the line. Perhaps for the first time ever, the NJ State Championship is over-shadowed by the personal issues between the two combatants. One thing is clear: this will be a MUST-SEE match.
DRAKE YOUNGER COMES TO JAPW TO TAKE ON BLKOUT LEADER EDDIE KINGSTON!
Eddie Kingston woke up the JAPW world when he took it upon himself to call out JAPW management at “Calm Before the Storm.” Recruiting from within, by picking up former JAPW Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown, Kingston made it clear that he plans to own JAPW and run JAPW all through 2007 and beyond!
JAPW realizes to kill a monster you must kill its head. The monster in question here is BLKOUT and its head is EDDIE KINGSTON. That is why JAPW has recruited one of the sickest, baddest and brutal mother-f^$%#s in wrestling today- DRAKE YOUNGER!
It’s signed and booked, on 10/27, DRAKE YOUNGER vs EDDIE KINGSTON is on! Drake Younger has been told specifically to rid JAPW of Eddie Kingston. If he succeeds, Younger will be granted a JAPW Championship match whenever he wants. Younger must succeed in this quest. Kingston has been nothing but poison in JAPW, and is already trying to brainwash talent to see his way, as he did with Slyck Wagner Brown. This could be the hardest hitting match on the card.
THE PHENOMENAL ONE MEETS THE FUTURE
AJ STYLES VS FRANKIE KAZARIAN
The names just keep getting bigger in JAPW, as Frankie Kazarian, former JAPW NJ State Champion, continues his re-emergence, challenging former NWA World Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Kazarian, coming off a huge win by defeating Chris Hero at “Calm Before The Storm” faces one of the best wrestlers in the world today, AJ Styles.
AJ Styles, who has challenged and beaten the best not only in JAPW but all around the world, has shown a change in character as of late, preferring the easy way out of tough situations. On the flip side, Kazarian has been a breath of fresh air since rediscovering himself. Two wrestlers at two different points in their career will do battle for supremacy. As always with these types of big name matches, this match will have title implications, as both have their eyes set on the top prize, the JAPW Heavyweight Championship!
D-FACTOR LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS, PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS DO NOT NEED TO APPLY!
We told you several weeks ago that Johnny D. is looking for new members for his D-Factor. Shortly thereafter, the impressive and massive tag team of Havok & Monsta Mack debuted, obliterating the JAPW ring with EC Negro & Bandido Jr. With Rhino now back in the mix, several people have forgot that Johnny D. is still watching the entire JAPW roster and the wrestling world, looking to add the best & most elite talent to his band of A-list talent. With Rhino, Kevin Matthews, Havok, Monsta Mack & Alicia already in tow, who will be the next to join the D-Factor? The answer to that might be coming sooner than later!
While on Kevin Matthews, Kevin Matthews is 100% cleared and ready to wrestle. Johnny D. said that his client is looking for real matches and will take on anyone at The 10th Anniversary Show. Kevin, who’s made light work of the JAPW roster since his return to JAPW, has his eyes set on the JAPW Heavyweight title, but to get there, he must prove himself. Kevin will get that shot at “The 10th Anniversary Show”, and it is up to him to see if he will still earn his D-Factor stripes!
Another D-Factor client, “The Blonde Bombshell from Hackensack” Alicia, has run amok all over JAPW. Alicia, the unofficial JAPW Womens champion & currently the top womens wrestler in NJ has turned back challenges from Sara Del Rey, Nikki Roxx, Daizee Haze and countless others. Who will try their luck against Alicia next? With Johnny D. in her corner, Alicia looks unstoppable.
FUTURE OF LA FAMILIA?
With Diablo Santiago taking time off for personal reasons and Oman Tortuga on the shelf, one must question the future of La Familia. With only EC Negro & Bandido Jr left full-time, it might be time to go or get off the pot. At “Calm Before The Storm”, Negro & Bandido fell victims to Johnny D.’s newest acquisitions, Monsta Mack & Havok. Bandido, who’s paid the price for Negro’s mouth & Negro’s actions, doesn’t seem thrilled with the association La Familia gives him. The future of La Familia should be clear as day at the 10th Anniversary Show.
Don’t also forget, JAPW will be hosting a special Hall of Fame Ceremony with a huge guest of honor list. Here is the information:
