The Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, Georgia advertised a World Championship Wrestling show for October 28th, 2007. The listing stated that tickets could be purchased online beginning October 5th. The Civic Center then removed all wrestling references from it’s webpage about the WCW event on October 28th. Ticketmaster.com, however, still has the event listed as World Championship Wrestling. This is simply a mistake. Don’t look into this.
John Cena underwent surgery for his torn pec yesterday and will be out anywhere from six months to a year. Eight months seems to be the most likely scenario, so it looks like he’ll be out until June 2008.
Lilian Garcia announced on her website, www.LilianGarcia.com, that she has been given word that she’ll be performing live on both Raw and SmackDown next week with her band. Lilian said, “I’ve just been given word that I am going to be performing live with my band next week on Monday Night Raw & Smackdown!!!!” This is being done to help promote her music album, ¡Quiero Vivir!, which is being released next Tuesday.
WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle was a special guest at Fox Reality Channel’s 2007 Really Awards this past Tuesday. The 2007 Really Awards airs on the Fox Reality Channel, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Tommy Dreamer’s column is back on ECW.com. It is now called “An Original Thought” instead of “Diary of Violence.” His last column was in June. He stopped doing the old column because the wrestling industry was under a microscope, so he decided to become silent in protest. In his latest column, he talks about why he changed the name of it. He also goes off on the media. Dreamer also talks about why he’s wearing a bandana nowadays.
