Tonight there is a good chance that Randy Orton will walk away the WWE Champion. Orton was originally scheduled to win the strap last month at SummerSlam, however, plans were changed a few days before the show. It’s too soon for Triple H to get a feud for the title so early indications would be that WWE wants to keep the Cena/Orton feud going, possibly with Cena trying to protect his father tonight and getting screwed out of the title.
CM Punk is expected to retain the ECW Championship at tonight’s pay-per-view. The company still wants to push Big Daddy V and John Morrison (when he returns) as the lead contenders for the ECW Championship.
Beth Phoenix will probably get her big push with a win against WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle tonight.
