Valor Fighting & Management Update 9/4/07
Tank Abbott training hard for brawl with Kimbo
Valor client David “Tank” Abbott is taking his upcoming Cage Fury FC bout with fellow heavy handed brawler Kimbo Slice very seriously. Tank, “The Original Huntington Beach Bad Boy” has been spending hours in the gym daily at Westminster Boxing Club in Southern California to prepare for the slugfest on October 12 in Atlantic City, NJ. In fact, through his training, Tank has already shed twenty pounds, and claims to feel better conditioning-wise than he has in years. Both Tank and Kimbo are known for their devastating knock out punching power. There likely won’t be much finesse in this war, but it promises to be entertaining. We at Valor wish Tank continued success in his training, and are excited to see him do what he does best on October 12.
UPW’s Tom Howard added to IGF event in Japan
As announced previously, Valor Fighting’s Sylvester “Predator” Terkay, a former NCAA National Wrestling Champion, K-1 stand-out and professional wrestling star, was booked through Valor to perform on Antonio Inoki’s IGF event in Nagoya Japan on September 8. Valor is proud to announce that Tom Howard has also been booked for the event. Tom, also a Valor client, has a long history in pro wrestling. He has performed all over the world in the US and Mexico. Tom is also no stranger to performing in Japan. “The Green Beret” has had many epic battles in The Land Of The Rising Sun including some extremely physical wars with the late great Japanese legend Shinya Hashimoto. Howard has also fought in MMA for promotions including K-1, IFL, Rumble On The Rock and our own Valor Fighting live events. We are confident that Tom and Sylvester will do Valor proud, and we look forward to booking more talent on IGF events in the future.
