We have received a statement from PTW Owner Peter Staniforth, in regards to Friday’s show; and it reads as follows……
“As ever, nothing at Power Trip Wrestling EVER runs quietly or normally, we’re legendary for it; and we’ve been forced into changes to what has been advertised in the prior weeks. But we don’t believe in doing that on the night and ripping people off, we believe in honesty, being up-front, and telling you what’s going on as soon as we have it confirmed ourselves; because we respect our paying audience.
With that in mind, I first have to announce that due to circumstances way beyond his control, Lucian will not be able to appear in any form at “Glory Days” on Friday. The situation is not one he can change, but is also not his fault; and PTW remains on good terms with Lucian.
But – to make up for this, I have brought in one of the biggest names in the country to show the fans that when we do have unforseen issues like this, it’s their entertainment that matters the very most. So, welcome to Power Trip Wrestling – former FWA, and current IPW:UK and 1PW star, Andy Simmonz! So in the fatal four way match, it will now be Andy Simmonz vs NDS vs Spatch vs Matt Savage.
To make the stakes even higher, we should have an appearance from one of Luton’s very own and finest, but we’re not going to tell you who he is bar he is a nationally known, non-wrestling but sporting star!
To follow this, the replacement for Johnny Lee in the “Cruiserweight Chaos” match WAS Marcus Kool. Marcus has since damaged his ankle, and will not be able to appear on Friday. Thanks to our friends at Real Deal Wrestling, replacing Marcus at this point will be RDW star Lee Chaos.
In the 8 man tag team match, two changes are having to made on one side – Replacing Titan will be Sykes, and replacing Danny Devine will be “100 %” Dan Edge. And in reference to the main event, Shabazz still feels his mystery cornerman is justified in case Stixx has any tricks up his sleeve; and this will still be happening.
And despite life seriously being in collusion with fate, and trying to play havoc with Power Trip Wrestling, all I can do is say that we’ve fought the odds before and we will fight them again – and we’ll be standing tall on Friday night in Luton giving you the best damn show that we can. Thank you for your patience and support.”
