To update on the email that Kev Perry sent in regarding Umaga holding the TNA Tag-Team title belt. On the June 19th PWA Tag Team Explosion show which featured Team 3-D (who were the Tag-Team champions then) vs. King Booker and Dawg Chetum, Umaga made an appearance and cleared the ring. The chances are that Umaga then picked up Team 3D’s belt and photos with him holding it were taken. [Thanks to Fisha and everyone else for the update!]
After a 5 month absence due to a torn ACL, the son of “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and WWE developmental talent, Mike DiBiase along with his tag team partner, the grandson of “Rapid” Ricky Romero, “Radical” Ricky Romero III as “Team 3G” (The only tag team in wrestling history made up of two third generation superstars) defeated Pain Inc. & The Texas Heart Throbs in a three way tag team match to capture The PWF Tag Team Title’s on July 7, 2007 (Amarillo, TX-Professional Wrestling Federation). Team 3G had their first successful title defense on July 14th defeating “The Cow Town Commodities!”. [Thanks to Kyn]
ECW Champion Nitro is scheduled to be appearing at Ohio Valley Wresting’s event this Friday, July 20th, at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Louisville, KY.
