RICHMOND, Va. – World Wrestling Entertainment’s Chief Operating Officer Michael Sileck made a surprise appearance at the Richmond Coliseum today. As one of the highest ranking officials in WWE, Sileck has the responsibility of managing the company’s day-to-day operations and reporting them to the Chief Executive Officer, Linda McMahon.
“I’m here to help out in any way possible,” said the COO, referring to the tumultuous week that the sports-entertainment industry has suffered since Mr. McMahon’s apparent passing. “I have taken on additional responsibilities, and the main reason I’m here today is to discuss the tragedy with WWE employees who work on the road and explain to them that the show must, and will, go on.”
Sileck also mentioned that he will visit SmackDown and ECW before returning to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Conn., to resume his corporate duties.
