TNA and Spike TV held their monthly conference call a little earlier today, with James Storm in the hotseat taking questions. Quick notes from the call as follows:
– Was asked of his favourite moment in TNA to date. Storm said the Six Sides of Steel match with Triple X as it raised the bar for AMW and tag team wrestling.
– Said the adjustment from tagging up as AMW to working singles was noticeable as he couldn’t tag out, but that he’s handling it well. The decision to split AMW was TNA’s and not his or Chris Harris’.
– Said he’d like see a secondary title introduced similarly to how WWE has an InterContinental title.
– Said he expected to be booed on Sunday even though the show is in his home state.
– Said he’s often asked about “jumping ship” but wants to stay in TNA and be part of them as they grow.
– Put over Jerry Lynn as a wrestler before talking trash about him ahead of Sunday.
– Welcomed TNA’s increased schedule and said he’s looking forward to working more dates.
– Storm talked about working with Jacqueline Moore. Said he laughed when he found out Gail Kim had knocked her teeth out from a trashcan lid shot.
– Said the Texas Death Match was very good and he and Harris will probably wrestle each other again.
– Storm said he thought TNA needs an extra hour for iMPACT as they have a big roster of talented wrestlers. He said he hopes that change will happen very soon.
– He admitted he was disappointed that his match with Frank Wycheck this Sunday at Slammiversary has been turned into a tag team match, but understands why TNA made the changes and hopes they’ll have a great match.
