To the offerings provided by Northeastern Pennsylvania, add filmmaking.
A long white limousine was set afire near the Wachovia Arena on Sunday night as part of a World Wrestling Entertainment program.
The plot line said WWE chairman Vince McMahon was in the limo and perished in its explosion.
But police in Wilkes-Barre Township said McMahon is alive and well and the explosion was simply showmanship.
Evidence seems to support the police officer’s version of the story. The explosion of the limo occurred Sunday night, but was broadcast as though it happened Monday night.
More, WWE got a permit to conduct the explosion and Wilkes-Barre Township firefighters were on the scene to extinguish the blaze.
We expect Vince McMahon to surface soon to say he is back in some form or other. After all, the show must go on. And we’d like to see more filming of it done here.
