Tonight is Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night on Raw, and WWE.com has learned that the following celebrities and WWE Legends will be among those offering their comments on the WWE Chairman tonight in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.:
-Former Minnesota Governor and WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura
-Donald Trump
-MTV’s Jackass star Steve-O
-WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart
-WWE Hall of Famer Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
-WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper
-WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik
-Legendary sportscaster Bob Costas
All of these men have been through their ups and downs with Mr. McMahon over the years, and it will be interesting to hear what they have to say about the boss.
It was just two months ago that Trump defeated Mr. McMahon in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania, causing the Chairman to have his head shaved bald.
For Bret Hart, the “Montreal Screwjob” in 1997 will forever live as one of the most infamous moments in WWE history, and a moment both he and Mr. McMahon will never forget.
The Chairman has had heated words and legal issues with both Costas and Ventura over the years as well, and as longtime employees of WWE, Heenan, Piper and Sheik have been on both the Chairman’s good and bad sides.
As for Steve-O, well, he’s one bizarre individual, and there’s no telling exactly what he will do or say when the time comes.
He may even ponder something that sources have heard rumblings about in the locker room: just who throws an Appreciation Night for themselves? What kind of individual gives themself that kind of praise? Many believe that Mr. McMahon has lost his mind in the last week or so, and grumblings are that throwing himself an Appreciation Night is one more piece of evidence to support that school of thought.
To see what these folks have to say about the boss and what happens on Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night, tune into Raw tonight on USA Network at its special start time of 8/7 CT.
