On Monday night, the WWE will hold its annual draft lottery, and that means every superstar on all three rosters will be on pins and needles for the next 24 hours. In the past, names such as John Cena, HHH and Batista were drafted — and as Mr. McMahon likes to say on a regular basis, nobody is immune from being drafted.
”With the 2007 draft comes an unprecedented occasion in WWE history where each superstar across all three of our programs is subject to being placed on another roster,” said Stephanie McMahon Levesque, executive vice president for talent and creative writing. ”No one will be safe. … This is what makes it so exciting to witness, as viewers will see some of their favorites being traded to a different roster, making for a thrilling dynamic in the months ahead.”
That being said, look for one or two top-tier names to be moved (maybe Batista, Chris Benoit or Bobby Lashley).
The WWE also said Monday will be ”Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night.” Scheduled to be on hand are Steve-O, Jesse Ventura, Gene Okerlund, Bobby Heenan and Mick Foley.
