Welcome to the ECW on Sci-Fi! As always, I am Michael Bauer, your 411 ECW Re-capper.
We open with a video package from One Night Stand and the match between Vince McMahon and Bobby Lashley.
And the action starts now with Joey Styles and Tazz at ringside! And Mr. McMahon on a rocker near the entranceway. Styles calls his behavior disturbing to say the least since One Night Stand. McMahon looks lost as he is just staring into space, including when Bobby Lashley comes out and stares at him. McMahon doesn’t even flinch, doesn’t even blink, and doesn’t do anything by rock in the chair.
Hardcore Match: Bobby Lashley vs. The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and Balls Mahoney
The ECW Originals come out as a unit from the back and get the plunder from under the ring before they even enter. They look to pick their spots as the bell rings. All three enter the ring and just start beating him with whatever they have. Lashley get to the outside and slowly gets back in. He goes over Sandman and they attack with the weapons before just using fists and clubs. Lashley again gets to the ringside area and is getting pissed. He enters and Dreamer nails him with a trash can as Sandman gets him down with the cane. Dreamer tries for a suplex off the ring apron, but Lashley reverses it into his suplex. Lashley to the outside and Sandman follows with some huge cane shots. Dreamer and Sandman connects with a double suplex on the ring apron. Lashley reverses a whip and throws Dreamer into the stairs. Balls Mahoney with punches and rolls Lashley into the ring. Mahoney and Sandman put him on the top rope, followed by a legdrop by Sandman off the top to the back of the head. Sandman covers for a two count. Lashley locked in the Tree of Woe by Sandman, Balls holds the ladder, and Dreamer hits a dropkick for the head. Dreamer calls for Sandman to GET THE TABLES!!! Sandman gets it and Dreamer hooks up Lashley. Balls swings, but Lashley ducks and Dreamer gets drilled with the steel chair. Balls puts down Lashley and sets the chair under Lashley’s head. Balls to the second rope… Lashley moves and Balls lands butt first on the chair. Lashley up and he picks up Sandman and drives him through the table that got set up in the corner. He runs and drills Balls with a spear for the win at 4:47.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Afterwards, Bobby walks right up to McMahon and holds the title up in his face, but McMahon again doesn’t blink or move at all. He seriously looks like he is not in his body. It’s actually kinda cool and freaky at the same time. Lashley walks away as we go to a commercial.
We are back with some quick draft hype and Styles mentions the whole roster could be different. (Editor’s Note: PLEASE!!!!)
Kevin Thorn vs. Stevie Richards
Okay, so what side is Richards on?? The bell rings as Tazz and Styles wonder what goes through Thorn’s head. Thorn backs Richards into the corner and drills him with knee to the gut. Richards ducks under a clothesline and hits Thorn with several blows to the head. Thorn gets dumped to the outside, but he catches Richards coming over the top rope and drops Richards on the guardrail. Back in the ring now and Thorn gets aggressive with his stomps and locks Richards in a chin lock. Richards gets back to his feet, but double axe clubs to the back keep him down. Richards gets lifts up like a rag doll and Thorn drops him throat first on the top rope. Thorn gets a two count and goes back to the chin lock. Richards tries to get up, but Thorn chokes Richards. Thorn with a shoulder charge into the corner. Thorn gets caught trying it again and Richards gets in him shots to the face and some back elbows. Thorn falls onto the second rope and Richards hits a dropkick to the back of the head for a two count. Richards with an irish whip, but Thorn reverses it into a huge spinebuster bomb. Thorn goes for Original Sin, but Richards kicks out and goes to the outside. Richards up top, but Thorn crotches him and hits the Original Sin this time for the three count at 4:45.
Winner: Kevin Thorn
Back from the break and it is time for Extreme Expose. Don’t mind me if I give no details on the same crap as always. Tazz and Styles get an up close look and Styles acts as the downer saying they could be split up after Raw. Way to spoil the mood Joey! Tazz shifts gears to Rob Van Damn and his condition. We get a video package on the destruction of Rob Van Damn by Randy Orton. They say RVD is out of action indefinitly because of Orton.
Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von vs. The Major Brothers
They come out without Matt Striker as we get clips of the past matches between the Major Brothers and the New Breed. Burke and Cor Von are in the ring as we go to a break. We are back and here come the Major Brothers as Tazz doesn’t think their uck will last. The bell rings and Cor Von quickly gets on top of one of the brothers and backs hi into a corner. Brian Major gets chopped, but avoids an elbow charge. He hits some chops of his own and tags in Brett. Brett locks in an armbar, but Marcus gets a back elbow to break and tags in Burke. Brett hits an arm drag and locks in the armbar. Tag made to Brian and a double hip toss gets a two count on Burke. Burke locked in the armar by Brian Major again. Burke whipped off the ropes and he hits a shoulder block. Brian tries a leap frog, but Burke flapjacks him for a two count. Marcus tagged in and he scoop slams the Major brother. The other brother comes in and gets shoved out of the ring by the ref. Cor Von with another slam and a tag to Burke. Cor Von hits another slam in the corner, which stes up Burkes charge and handspring using the top ropw to drop an elbow to the chest for a two count. Brett Major locked in a headlock. He gets to his feet and gets nailed in the gut but Burke, leading to a tag to Cor Von. Cor Von with a kick to the back, followed by a reverses gut wrench being locked in. Brett to his feet and hits a back elbow, but he gets drilled with a knee to the gut. Cor Von gets a two count and brings Brett to his corner so Burke can be tagged in. Burke locks in an abdominal stretch. Brett fights out with punches to the face and gets a hip toss. Burke hits a knee to the back and it sends him right into Brian for the tag. Brian hits punch after pinch and drills Burke with a spinebuster for a two count. Burke gets rolled up, but Cor Von gets the blind tag. Brian looks up and gets nailed in the face with a boot. Brian now off the ropes and he gets drilled with the PPOOUUNNCCEE!!! It’s academic from there as Cor Von gets the three count at 6:50.
Winners: The New Breed
The New Breed gets a good start, but Styles wodners if they can stay perfect when Striker takes on CM Punk later on.
Back from the break and they go back to what happened to Lashley earlier in the night as McMahon is no longer on the chair.
CM Punk vs. Matt Striker
CM Punk out first and we go to another commercial before Striker comes out. Striker now out and he is by himself and with a microphone. Striker goes on about saying who they should look up to. The bell rings and they lock up with reverses waistlocks until Striker clubs Punk in the back. CM Punk hits a kick to the face and tells Striker to “Go to school” Before hitting a kick to the back. Striker whipped into the corner and Punk charges in with a splash. Punk whips him again and Stirker hits a back elbow. Striker off the ropes and he hits something of a face plant. Striker conncts with a back suplex and follows it up with a vertical suplex. Striker tries to lock in a submission, but Punk kicks out, just to get kickedin the back. Striker with a standing leg lock, but Punk rolls him up for a two count. Striker gets the advantage with a quick stomp to the head. He follows it up with a Boston Crab, lets it go, and now makes it a single leg crab. Punk strikes Striker in the back until he lets go and gets back to his feet. Punk goes for the Go2Sleep, but Striker grabs the top rope and hits a back elbow. Punk gets dumped on his head as Striker hits a swinging neckbreake with Punk’s feet on the top rope. Striker only gets a two count and locks in the single leg crab again. Punk gets to the bottom rope and Striker lets go. Striker pulls Punk into the center of the ring and tries agin, but Punk rolls into a two count. Punk up and he hits a huge back fist and a kick to the head. Punk goes into the corner and Punk hits the corner Shining Wizard and the bulldog for a two count. Punk calls for “G2S”. Striker tries for a neckbreaker, but Punk slips out and hits the Go2Sleep for the three count at 7:20.
Winner: CM Punk
