Muscle men and big breasted “women” return to Nintendo in the latest WWE effort, SmackDown VS RAW, 2008 edition, as wrestling takes on motion controlled Wii fest with a fresh way to grapple sweaty folk in the ring.
A recent preview on Games Radar reveals a selection of tasty (for some) new screens and details on the forthcoming game.
# Arm movements aren’t armed directly into the game, but reacted quickly during a demonstration – good sense of flow.
# Variety od different slaps available – from jaw chocks to backhanders to the face.
# Grapples initiated with a button press, with players entering a crazy remote/nunchuck shake-off to win. Players can life the Wii-remote upwards to grab their opponent by the throat and with a flick of the wrist send them hurtling towards the ground.
# Wrestler specific taunts could possibly be available, with the demonstrator mimicking his on screen chap to initiate a taunt.
# Wii version seems more arcade like then other versions, simpler interface, easier to get into but still retains the brawling and cheesy script that has given the franchise its acclaim.
