The NFL has the Super Bowl, WWE has ”WrestleMania” and TNA Wrestling has ”Slammiversary.” While the NFL disappoints year after year, the wrestling world continues to deliver, and this year’s TNA show will be no exception. In the biggest event of the summer, Kurt Angle will defend his world title in a ”King of the Mountain” title match against Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Christian Cage, Sting and Abyss in what promises to be the defining match in the history of the company. Don’t rule out Sabu replacing one of the combatants in the big match, making it an even bigger spectacle. Also on the June 17 show, Team 3D puts the tag straps on the line against the legendary Steiner Brothers. Also on the show, Bob Backlund will face Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin will defend the X division title against ”Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, and Eric Young meets Robert Roode. Don’t be surprised to see at least three former WWE world champs.
