Judgment Day has passed, but the shockwaves continue to be felt as the Superstars of Friday Night SmackDown enter Des Moines, Iowa.
Call him the ultimate opportunist, call him a cheater, but after Judgment Day, our fans better still call Edge World Heavyweight Champion. This week on SmackDown, Kane, Mark Henry, Finlay and Batista will face off in a Fatal Four Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender to the Rated-R Superstar’s gold. Who will earn the right to face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at One Night Stand? Following Judgment Day, will The Animal roar into SmackDown on Friday, even more determined to make the champion a fresh kill? What will happen when the brand’s finest compete for a golden opportunity?
Meanwhile, MVP’s “ballin’” all the way to Des Moines with his new United States Championship where he will celebrate his golden victory on SmackDown. After months of coming up just short of the prize, the “Franchise Playa” came up money Sunday night, scoring the most valuable pinfalls of his WWE career against the Rabid Wolverine, Chris Benoit. Given the glisten of his bling on an ordinary day, to what extent will MVP “floss” in a celebration devoted to none other than himself? Benoit will be watching, no doubt. Will Porter’s party get crashed?
In addition to the most exciting ring action in sports-entertainment, Timbaland’s “Throw it on Me” makes its network television debut on SmackDown. With summer on the horizon, look for the hip-hop master’s latest video to turn up the heat several degrees, especially since it features several of WWE’s most smokin’ Divas.
Expect SmackDown to sift through some very heavy Judgment Day wreckage this Friday night, 8/7 CT on The CW.
