-Tenay and West welcome us to the show. They discuss last week’s show and hype Sting vs. Samoa Joe, which at one time was set to be an NWA Title feud because they had never faced.
-They run down the card for tonight’s show.
-Team 3D makes their way to the ring with their spiffy new TNA Tag Team Titles. Ray says that the Steiner’s want to talk with them. Well, they are here so come on out. They make their way out and Tenay puts over the history of both teams. Ray says before they say anything that 3D says it is an honor to be in the ring with one of the greatest teams of all time. If it wasn’t for the Steiner’s 3D wouldn’t be here today. He tells the Impact Zone to give them a standing ovation. Scott calls him a fat ass and says they know they were great. He wants to talk about the lack of legacy for 3D. They were WWE champs, but they didn’t beat anyone. You say you were WCW champs, we have an issue with that. We were the first and we never saw you on that roster. I never saw you in a WCW ring. And then there is ECW, see, when we were champs we traveled the world. We went to Japan in front of 69,000 people. We won the IWGP tag titles. We won title in Korea in front of 170,000 people. You never left the bingo hall. I don’t have a problem with you being ECW champs, but you were not world champions. We know it and you know it, especially by the checks you got. We have a legacy, you beat no one. Rick says they beat the Warriors, Horsemen, Samoan Swat Team, Outsiders, Luger and Sting, Midnight Express, Freebirds, Doom, Harlem Heat, Rock and Roll Express. He has a list a mile long. Scott says they will all be in the Hall of Fame and they beat them all. Ray says they shouldn’t be pissed they respect them. 3D is old school and they are the FN Steiner’s and they respect that. 3D respects and likes them. Scott says their legacy means shit. Devon says he isn’t done yet. They showed respect and put them on a pedestal. They were a great team, in their era, but they have NEVER beat 3D. Scott says at Slammiversary, if they have the balls, put up the titles. Ray agrees. He hopes they kick their asses, because they want the world to see it because they will take it and will beat them on the same night! Testify~!
-Leticia is with Cage and Tomko. Cage says they think she is getting fat. As far as tag teams go, he isn’t a tag team guy, he is the BEST. Tomko calls him a former champ, and won’t take it back. Cage says this is not a joke. Cornette has it out for them. Tomko ay sit is against Cage and not him. Tomko say she has a big mouth. Cage says people like him. Cornette won’t even tell him who his opponent for the KOTM qualifier is. Tomko says he may know, and that Cage should have given him the title match he was promised.

-Backstage Kip is with Hoyt. Kip says BG is still laid up but will be back next week. He says they have been grooming Hoyt and he has to step up tonight. Hoyt wanted a chance, TNA haven’t given it to him but the VKM have. He will not let Kip down. He isn’t afraid to hit a woman.
# Basham and Damaja w/Christy Hemme vs. Lance Hoyt and Kip James
Basham and Kip to begin. Cops by Basham, now by Kip. Off the ropes and a shoulder block by Kip. Rights to Basham, arm bar and a eye poke by Basham. Tag to Damaja, and a bulldog on Kip. Elbow drops by Damaja and then lays the boots to Kip. Tag to Basham, 2nd rope leg drop connects for 2. They beat down Kip, tag to Damaja and forearms to Kip. Shoulders in the corner now, Basham hold shim and Hoyt distracts the ref and Kip fights back. Boots by Damaja, rights and off the ropes, back elbow by Kip and a boot to Damaja. Kip kicks at Hemme, Hoyt grabs her and takes her backstage. Kip is alone and fights them off, Basham in and the running leg lariat by Basham finishes it.
Winners: Damaja and Basham @ 2:55 via pin
-Hoyt is back and the damage has been done.
-Joe is backstage now with JB. Joe says that after Sacrifice he found himself without purpose. That was until tonight. Cornette lifted the glass ceiling to give people a chance. Sting, you are my opportunity. You will see that there will be no lights, cameras, only action. I respect what you were, but I will break what you are. You are in my way, and tonight, it will be Showtime…for me.
-Back from commercial with highlights of Ken Shamrock winning the first “TNA” NWA Title.
-Backstage with Roode and Brooks. Roode says that this is his time. First of all, the KOTM match, well, I am a top 10 guy, so Cornette, I am a top dog. I will be the next champion and no one will stop me. Eric, I am giving you one week to answer my attorney’s letter. I own you, I will take your career and everything you have. It pays…to be Roode.
# Christian Cage and Tomko vs. LAX (Homicide y Hernandez) w/Konnan
Tomko and Hernandez to begin. Tomko and Cage argue as Hector Guerrero watches on. I thought he was commentating? Cage is in and is shoulder blocked down by Hernandez. Corner splash and a forearm by Cide gets 2. Off the ropes, back elbow by Cage and a gord buster follows for 2. Boots and a tag to Tomko. Chops by Cide, rights and off the ropes and a boot to Tomko. Whip try, countered and Tomko gets a whip and then charges in…rights to Cide. He stares down with Hernandez, Konnan now yells at Hector as Tomko press slams Cide into a fall away slam. We head to commercial @ 2:35.
Back from commercial @ 5:50 with Cage tagging in. Hector and Konnan are still arguing. Cage beats down Cide and then chokes him out. Rights by Cide, off the ropes and Cage grabs him and gets a gut buster for 2. Tomko tags in, lays the boots to Cide and then goes for and gets a running powerslam for 2. Tag back to Cage, boots to Cide as we see more arguing. Knees by Cage, off the ropes, Hernandez tag sin and shoulder blocks Cage down. Hernandez tosses Cage and then grab shim, overhead choke toss by Hernandez! Rights to Tomko, it breaks down and Hernandez tosses Cide into Tomko and Cage! Tomko sent to the floor, LAX gets he Catapult clothesline/senton combo for 2. Konnan shoves Hector, Cide is out now and Hernandez goes for the Border Toss, Tomko gets a bog boot and clothesline. Frog splash by Cage and that is all.
Winners: Tomko and Cage @ 9:00 via pin
-Konnan attacks Hector Guerrero now. Hector into the ring and LAX surrounds him. They go to attack and Harris and Rhino are here to support Hector. Tenay: “Why are they getting involved?” Good question.
-JB is with Angle. They discuss Sting vs. Joe. He hates them both, and he has no respect for them. They all do what they want to win, but he is the only one that will admit to that. He says maybe he will see them out there.
-Back from commercial with the debut of Samoa Joe at Slammiversary 2005. He killed Sonjay dead. The Wife was not happy seeing that.
# King of the Mountain Qualifying Match: Samoa Joe vs. Sting
They circle and lock up, to the corner and Joe breaks clean. Lock up again, to the corner and Sting breaks clean. Lock up, headlock by Sting, off the ropes and they collide, no one moves. Again and the same. Atomic drop by Joe, Sting counters the yakuza, Scorpion applied and countered into the choke and then a sleeper by Joe. Sting escapes, scorpion try and Joe gets the ropes. Crowd likes it thus far. Knuckle lock now, test of strength and jabs by Joe. Sting is down, to the corner now and jabs by Joe again. Irish whip and a reversal, clothesline by Sting and Christopher Daniels makes his way to the ring. Stinger splash misses and a big Enziguri by Joe catches Sting as we head to a commercial @ 3:15.
Back from commercial @ 6:35 with Joe still in control. A slam by Joe, and into the surfboard. During the break, Daniels and Sting had words. Sting fights out of the hold, elbows out and off the ropes and a running leg lariat by Joe gets 2. Headlock applied by Joe, Sting looks to fight out, to his feet and elbows out. Joe slams him back down. Elbow drop by Joe and a cover for 2. Suplex try by Joe, Sting floats over and takes Joe down. The ref counts as both men fight to their feet. Daniels on the apron, tosses in the bat to Sting, Sting tosses it o the floor and nails Daniels to the floor. Kick by Joe, jabs now and off the ropes and misses a kick. Daniels nails Sting with the bat, Samoan Drop by Joe and a cover for 3? Yup.
