The following is from ECW.com:
The last ECW on Sci Fi was a night of Superstars getting a taste of their own medicine. When Elijah Burke requested a chair from the newest New Breeder CM Punk, Rob Van Dam ended up being the recipient of the weapon, which he used to secure a victory. Was CM Punk’s chair toss merely a bad throw or should the New Breed leader worry about trusting his latest recruit?
In another prominent instance of the New Breed losing in its own game, Tommy Dreamer used the rope for support when he rolled up Kevin Thorn in tag team action. As a result, Dreamer and Sandman earned a win for the ECW Originals while Thorn and Marcus Cor Von were left choking on their pride. Could the New Breed’s recent hot streak be running cold?
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley wasn’t in action, but he did introduce new Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella, whom he helped to defeat Umaga for the gold the night before. Lashley certainly proved he’s not afraid of Mr. McMahon and company when he got involved with the match, but is ECW’s representative on thin ice? What other hell lies ahead for Lashley, the Chairman, Shane McMahon and Umaga, all of whom will meet in just weeks at Backlash?
