Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling: April 5, 2007
VINCENT NOTHING SPEAKS OUT ON APRIL 15 LADDER MATCH
We are under two weeks away from what could potentially be the most dangerous match in CAPW history as three teams with absolutely everything at stake step foot into a no-rules, death-defying free-for-all, as six men enter the unpredictable environment that is…the Ladder Match. Add such a risky stipulation to the CAPW Tag Team Titles being on the line as well, and the prestige in this match is unmistakable.
This past week, right here, we spoke to Unknown of Q&A, who once again let his feelings known that he and Virus are the uncrowned CAPW Tag Champs and teams like Irish Airborne, in their minds, don’t even deserve to be in tag title contention. This week, we go straight to the top and speak to one-half of the CAPW Tag Champions, Vincent Nothing of Faith in Nothing, who’s been right at the center of this controversy, and was the one who issued the Ladder Match challenge following Q&A’s flagrant use of a ladder last month. In this interview conducted by CAPW commentator Joe Dombrowski, here is what Vincent Nothing had to say regarding his challengers and April 15th:
JD: Mr. Nothing, you and Christian Faith have reigned as tag champions for the past several months. In that time, you’ve faced numerous tough challenges. How would you assess the CAPW tag division as a whole and your performance within it?
VN: I think the tag division in CAPW has begun to really take shape and become loaded with some great competition, especially over the last few months. Some great teams have started to show up and currently we are on the top of the mountain with no signs of coming down anytime soon.
JD: Shortly after your capturing the tag titles, a new tag team burst onto the scene, immediately becoming top contenders to your gold, that being Jake & Dave Crist, collectively known as Irish Airborne. You’ve had the opportunity to step into the ring with them on more than one occasion. How would you assess the Airborne’s CAPW tenure thus far?
VN: Anybody who knows anything about wrestling right now has heard of Irish Airborne and knows what a great team these two are. The Crist brothers really push us to our limits every time we step into the ring with them, but on TWO occasions we still managed to overcome them for the victory. So, do I think they are a great tag team? Yes, of course. But them coming into our home arena and taking our hard earned titles is not something that I will predict you seeing anytime soon.
JD: Also established as top contenders are Virus & Unknown, Q&A, who have spent months claiming themselves the uncrowned champions, saying both Faith in Nothing and the Airborne have no business competing for those titles. How do you respond?
VN: It’s really sad to see what has happened to the overall attitude of Q&A over the past few shows, they just keep sinking lower and lower. Ask any fan who pays money to sit in their seat who they think is the top team in CAPW and they will answer the same every time – Faith In Nothing. No team has yet to match our size, our strength, our chemistry, or our intensity. Q&A can talk all they want, but the fact of the matter is that they have managed to make real enemies with not ONE, but TWO of the best tag teams on the scene today.
JD: Certainly the struggle between all three teams in recent months has been nothing short of hectic, but on April 15, it all comes to an end in a Ladder Match. This is certainly going to be the most dangerous and unpredictable environment you’ve ever defended the tag titles in. What are your states of mind leading into this match and what do you hope to accomplish when all the dust is settled?
VN: Joe Dombrowski, I personally asked for this match to take place. It is the only way to settle this dispute once and for all. In a ladder match, there are no rules and there are no boundaries – you and the fans have yet to see the kind of mayhem that Faith In Nothing can cause in that type of environment. We are prepared for war and are anticipating nothing less then total domination. This is our match, Christian Faith and I are looking forward to the punishment that we are going to inflict and the punishment that our bodies are going to take – we have never ducked a challenge and refuse to accept defeat. I hope the other teams are prepared.

Just added to the card…
CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Zach Gowen vs. Barry Sagittarius
“The One Legged Wonder” re-emerges in CAPW for his first appearance and first title defense since unseating prior champion Johnny Gargano some weeks ago. While it remains to be seen if Gowen will have a response to the sickening attack Gargano perpetrated on Gowen using Gowen’s own cane after that match, the Tenacious One will have his hands full with one of CAPW’s most bizarre and unique characters in Barry Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a tough customer on his own, but should he decide to not come alone, namely with his frequent tag partner Michael Hellborn, the odds for Zach may once again appear to be insurmountable. Will CAPW’s answer to The Odd Couple see their first title reign or will Zach persevere once again?
Tag Team Battle Royal
With the current war between Tag Champions Faith in Nothing, Irish Airborne, and Q&A finally reaching it’s climax on April 15th, CAPW management already have plans in store to determine future top contenders and rankings within the CAPW Tag Team ranks. Officials have signed an Open Invitational Tag Team Battle Royal open to any and every tag team that wants to make its mark within a CAPW ring. While no teams have officially been named, a quick glance up and down the Cleveland All-Pro roster reveals several hungry deserving teams that would sacrifice anything to be called the best.
Already announced…
CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. Buff Bagwell
When presented with recent complaints from CAPW wrestlers and fans over the recent actions of Tracy Smothers (including, but not limited to, his vicious attack of Gregory Iron), CAPW management made the decision to remove The Wild Eyed Southern Boy from scheduled tag team competition and ORDERED Smothers to defend his championship on April 15. His opponent is a man who’s held CAPW gold before, a man who’s battled Smothers with CAPW gold on the line in wars that saw no clear winner. Smothers will have to defend against the multi-time former WCW World Tag Team Champion Buff Bagwell! Bagwell has been a major player when it comes to CAPW title matches for several years now, and Buff Daddy feels its long overdue to have gold around his waist once again. Will the sneaky Smothers be able to survive another title defense?
CAPW Tag Title Ladder Match: Faith in Nothing vs. Irish Airborne vs. Q&A
It’s the news that fans and insider alike are still buzzing about, as CAPW’s ultra-competitive tag title division gets taken to the next level. For the past several months, Irish Airborne and Q&A have fought amongst themselves in an attempt to crown a clear #1 contender to the gold. Meanwhile, champions Faith in Nothing have been on a mission to begin a legacy of dominance and defeat all top challengers soundly and decisively. None of the three teams has been able to accomplish any of their goals, thanks to the intense infighting and brawling that’s interrupted seemingly every tag team title and contender match in recent months. The only way to settle the issue is to take the rules, and throw them out the window and place all 3 teams in the ring at once. And as a result of Q&A’s attempted assault on the other two teams while using a ladder, it was only natural to raise the stakes further and make it a Ladder Match. Six men will go all-out, risk life and limb for the glory that comes with being called champion, but only one team will survive. There WILL be a clear and decisive winner April 15 in Turner’s Hall!
CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano has had a mixed bag of success lately. While he’s fighting to stay alive in the Junior Heavyweight Division, he experienced a feat of success very few in the business get to achieve, wrestling on international television on WWE Smackdown. However, Gargano has never, anywhere, been in the ring with the likes of 6’8 300+ pound Jason Bane. Bane is a non-stop wrecking machine and continues to plow through every contender lined up in front of him. Will Bane add another tally to the list or will the crafty Gargano be able to lay claim to another CAPW Championship?
