The Peterlee Leisure Centre is going to be the first time wZw can test the new set to full effect which will be installed and operated by ‘New York Productions,’ The same company that has worked with the WWE when they tour the UK. The new stage set consists of a custom designed stage, ramp and entrance way, lit by a state of the art lighting and special effects rig. Above the massive set a giant 20 foot screen will be erected and hooked up cameras set up in the arena so every one will have a ring side view of all the action. The show is also going to be filmed with state of the art Television Camera’s.
Commissioner Lord Philip Robinson aims to show the North East that wZw is prepared to take Professional Wrestling to another level and is encouraging all wrestling fans to attend this spectacular event of British Wrestling at its best. With tickets being only £7.00 this event is sure to sell out fast (The last show in Hartlepool was a sell out).
The matches announced already are…
Iain Robinson vs. Anthony McIntyre
Tables, Ladders & Chairs (Champion vs. Champion) Match
The question on everyone’s lips will be what title will be on line? Could both titles be on the line?
Commissioner Lord Philip Robinson was looking for a match that would end a locker room argument which Champion was the best? Both wrestlers have been involved in every type of match from hardcore to ladders, both proclaim to be the best and both want the chance to be crowned the best in wZw. Iain Robinson the Zero G champion has stated that he is ready to end the career of the heavyweight champion Anthony McIntyre in what could prove to be one of the craziest matches ever seen in the wZw ring.
The Colossal Powers vs. Iceman
No DQ Match
The tag team of Jake Rockwell and Bad News Anderson also know as ‘The Colossal Powers’ have caused quiet a storm within the wZw locker room, after taking a beating from The Iceman. It’s reported that they cornered The Commissioner and ‘forced’ him to give them a handicap match against the Iceman. To even the odds this match has been made a No Disqualification match. This would normally be an advantage to the European Hardcore Icon ‘The Iceman’, but as this is a Handicap match anything could happen.
Pac vs. Darkside
Zero G Match
One of the hottest properties in British Wrestling at the moment is the high flying sensation of ‘Pac’ and he is making his return to the wZw ring. Pac is fast becoming a superstar on the Pro Wrestling circuit in the USA, UK and promotions around Europe. His high flying, high risk in ring action has fans sitting on the edge of their seats and he is hoping that at Peterlee Leisure Centre he can show the commissioner that he is worthy of a title shot in the future. One thing that is standing in his way is one of the hardest hitting Zero G wrestlers in the UK today ‘Darkside.’ Darkside known for his hard hitting in ring action is not going to be an easy opponent for Pac. This match could easily be a wZw Match of the year contender.
Chris Whitton vs. Sir Johnathon Britain
Singles Match
Both wrestlers arrived at the commissioner’s office at the same time and were both looking for match on ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ show. Sir Johnathon Britain, the self proclaimed leader of the wZw faction ‘The Empire’ which consists of himself and the Colossal Powers tag team was very upset at not being involved in the handicap match. The commissioner thought as Chris Whitton was cheated the last time in the ring due to a noxious substance being sprayed into his face at the hands of ‘The Empire’ he could have a one on one match and set the record straight. The referee will need to be on full alert during this match as Sir Johnathon Britain will do what ever it takes to get the 3 count.
Lion Heart & Wolfgang vs. The North East Bulldogs
Tag Team Match
Lion heart and Wolfgang, the two wrestlers from Glasgow proved to be very popular with wZw fans at the last Hartlepool show. After an open challenge put out by the ‘The North East Bulldogs’ Tony Spitfire and Lance Thunder, the two Scottish wrestlers decided to join forces and accept the challenge. The North East Bulldogs have a wealth of tag team experience and are looking forward to this encounter.
One more match is yet to be announced for this action packed show.
