John Cena/Shawn Michaels vs. Batista/Undertaker
In a dream match made by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon himself, SmackDown’s World Heavyweight Champion Batista will team with Undertaker to take on the Raw duo of WWE Champion John Cena and HBK.
At No Way Out, the duos of Cena & HBK, and Batista & Undertaker will be teammates, but at WrestleMania 23, they will be anything but as they battle each other on sports-entertainment’s biggest stage.
Our Pick Cena/HBK (although a No Contest would not be surprising)
London & Kendrick vs. Deuce & Domino for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Proving truth to the old adage that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, Deuce & Domino have secured a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at No Way Out.
After two weeks of successfully defeating WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick in non-title action, the newcomers to the SmackDown tag scene were appalled that a title match would take place at No Way Out without their participation. The disappointed duo then made it a point to have the match killed. But Deuce & Domino didn’t go to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to have the match stopped. Instead, the impressive team took their complaint straight to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Conn.
After listening to their complaint, WWE officials ruled in favor of Deuce & Domino, naming them the rightful No. 1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship. As a result, the Ladder Match pitting London & Kendrick vs. MNM vs. The Hardys vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor has been removed from the No Way Out pay-per-view.
Our Pick London/Kendrick
Kane vs. King Booker
After Kane “rudely” interrupted the ceremony in which King Booker was to be presented with the key to the city of Houston, the royal ruler demanded an apology. Instead of enforcing the King’s wishes, Theodore Long arranged for a one-on-one match at No Way Out.
Will the former ruler of the SmackDown kingdom get revenge on the Big Red Monster? Or, will Kane vanquish the evil monarch again?
Our Pick Kane
Diva Talent Invitational
By order of SmackDown General Manager, No Way Out will host the first-ever interpromotional Diva Talent Invitational. The competition is open to Divas of all three brands, and will feature the many skills and talents of the Sexiest Women on Television.
Will Jillian showcase her melodic vocal chords? Will Kristal show off her assets? Will the Extreme Expose make its way to No Way Out? Which Diva will impress the crowd and steal the show?
Our Pick WHO CARES?! We all win- just put it on mute!
Finlay/Little Bastard vs. Boogeyman/Little Boogeyman
In recent weeks, Finlay and his Little Bastard have been stalked by Boogeyman. Little Bastard was repeatedly dragged under the ring by Boogeyman, which ended up costing Finlay an opportunity at the United States Championship.
When Finlay and Boogeyman finally met in one-on-one action, The Fighting Irishman ended the long undefeated streak of Boogeyman, stealing a victory by using the shillelagh.
At No Way Out, the budding rivalry between the two Superstars will see them facing off against each other once again- this time with a “little” help by their partners.
Will Boogeyman be able to bounce back and defeat the Irishman, or will Finlay find a way to win again? Will Little Bastard be able to face his fear of Little Boogeyman?
Our Pick Finlay/Little Bastard
Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Kennedy for the ECW Championship
Bobby Lashley has proven that he deserves to keep the ECW Championship week after week. His victories of Bob Holly, a series sweep of Test, and countless wins over Rob Van Dam and Sabu have cemented him as THE ECW Champion.
But Kennedy has been on a rampage as of late, looking to get his hands on any title possible.
Mr. Kennedy immediately went to General Manager Theodore Long to voice his displeasures once more. Long was being visited by former SmackDown Superstar and current ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley, and Kennedy took exception.
When Kennedy pointed out, “I’ve beaten you once before Lashley, and I can do it again,” Lashley became agitated. His friend General Manager Theodore Long contacted ECW officials and the match has been made for this Sunday, where Mr. Kennedy will challenge Bobby Lashley for the ECW World Championship.
After his loss at the Royal Rumble, will Kennedy be able to channel his rage into gold? Or will Lashley simply provide another example of his dominance?
Our Pick Lashley
Cruiserweight Invitational for the Cruiserweight Championship
Gregory Helms squared off against Scotty 2 Hotty on SmackDown, and as Scotty looked for the Worm, he was attacked by Daivari. This set off a chain reaction which saw Daivari, Scotty 2 Hotty, Funaki, Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang Yang and Chavo Guerrero added to a Cruiserweight Open Match for the Cruiserweight Championship. Can Gregory Helms continue his history making run as Cruiserweight Champion?
Our Pick Jimmy Wang Yang
The Hardys & US Champion Chris Benoit vs. MNM & MVP
In the ongoing rivalry between MNM and The Hardys, Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro have continuously blamed Matt & Jeff Hardy for the injury Mercury sustained at Armageddon in a Ladder Match.
At No Way Out, MNM will team with MVP to take on the team of The Hardys and United States Champion Chris Benoit in another chapter to this epic war.
Will Benoit assist The Hardys as the look to put MNM behind them, or can MVP and MNM continue to torment them?
Our Pick Benoit/Hardys
