WWE.com has posted the following message:
“World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Gangrel (David Heath) and the tag team Gymini (Mike and Todd Shane). WWE wishes all three talents the best in their future endeavors.”
Gangrel was hired in 2005, sent to OVW, and then subsequently released before being re-hired and sent to Deep South Wrestling in late 2006 (making his debut on September 21). WWE had not used him on TV since 2004 when he was used with Viscera against The Undertaker as part of JBL’s feud with The Phenom. Former TNA superstars The Gymini made their WWE debut this time last year as members of Simon Dean’s fitness gimmick and had been sent back down to Deep South Wrestling as well in late 2006 shortly after Todd Shane was injured and management felt they had not gotten over.
We will have more details on their release as it comes but it is most likely another case of the creative team having nothing in the works for the three wrestlers.
