The Syracuse Crunch announced today that WWE RAW Superstar Torrie Wilson will be on hand at the Crunch’s January 19 game vs. Albany.
Torrie will be available during the first and second intermissions in Memorial Hall to sign autographs.
A Boise, Idaho, native Torrie Wilson is a popular and integral part of World Wrestling Entertainment. The former fitness model grew up in McCall, Idaho, and began participating in school activities such as cheerleading, dance, and track and field. During that time she became interested in modeling.
Wilson eventually began working out and took an interest in fitness and nutrition, leading her to become a fitness model. After mere months she entered herself into the Ms. Galaxy competition in 1997 and placed in the top 20. The next year, the 5′ 9″ 36-25-36 Wilson entered the same competition and won. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue work as an actress. An agent helped her land a few small jobs, but it was ultimately wrestling that would become her biggest role.
Discovered by wrestler Kevin Nash during his days with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), she began her career in small roles as a valet for some of the league’s contenders, accompanying them to the ring. When World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) bought out WCW, Wilson made her debut as one of the WWE’s “Divas.” Aside from escorting wrestlers, she also occasionally steps into the ring with other Divas. She’s appeared in bouts with the likes of Sable, Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus.
Since becoming an integral part of the WWE, Wilson has posed for Playboy magazine twice, the second time with fellow diva Sable; and has been featured in recurring pictorials for the WWE’s very own Divas Magazine.
