Rambo meets The Transporter as current WWE champion John Cena dominates the screen in the explosive, pulse-pounding action film The Marine – debuting on DVD January 30th from Fox Home Entertainment. The film will be released in a PG-13 rated and unrated version for the suggested retail price of $29.98. It will arrive on the Blu-Ray format in an unrated version on Feb. 13th for the suggested retail price of $39.98.
Making his feature film debut alongside veteran actor Robert Patrick (Walk the Line, Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and sexy Kelly Carlson (“Nip/Tuck”), powerhouse Cena portrays John Triton, a heroic Marine discharged from the war in Iraq only to find himself thrust back in action.
Wherever there’s danger, courageous Marine John Triton (Cena) is usually smack dab in the middle of it… and he doesn’t play by rules! After being discharged from the Iraq War, against his will, Triton returns stateside. But when his beautiful wife Kate (Carlson) is kidnapped by a merciless band of jewel thieves led by the vicious Rome (Patrick), Triton finds himself back on active duty! Now, against all odds, Triton must take on the ruthless band of killers and save his wife, utilizing the most powerful weapon in his arsenal — himself!
