Excluding the ”One Night Stand” shows that really were just special attractions, the ECW tonight will present a pay-per-view event for the first time since ”Guilty as Charged” in January 2001. ”December to Dismember” will have a wrestling first as six men will compete in an extreme elimination chamber featuring a chair, table, crowbar, barbed wire, baseball bat and two weapons to be named later.
It should make for a wild main event and perhaps the last for the Big Show. The current ECW champion is suffering from a bad back and other injuries. Show reportedly turned down a contract extension from the WWE and almost certainly will lose his title tonight.
Some think if Show were to lose 100 pounds and maintain a strict diet, many of his ailments would go away. But with money in the bank and a wealth of talent outside the ring, there will be plenty of opportunities for a 7-foot, 500-pounder.
Look for Lashley or Test to leave ”D to D” with the ECW strap. Also on the show, the Hardy Boys will face the reuniting MNM in an open challenge match. TNA tag team VKM has accepted the challenge but is a long shot to be on hand.
