With Unforgiven tomorrow night the main question that’s on everyone’s mind is, will Kane beat Umaga? Okay just kidding of course its will Edge win and Cena move to Smackdown? And I think the other top question is will we finally say goodbye to Vince McMahon after Sunday? Or at least will we see the end to this long drawn out feud with the McMahon’s and DX? Well I have definite thoughts about both questions with my Unforgiven picks. And before I get to them I have received over 75 emails and the majority and I do mean the majority are going with Trish and Jeff Hardy. You will see in a little bit if I go along with most of you. Okay let me give you my predictions for tomorrow’s show.
Kane vs. Umaga
Oh poor Kane this guy went from being a monster that could scare the best of us to basically being nothing more than a jobber. And I don’t see the trend ending tomorrow. I would be very surprised if Kane beat Umaga. In fact I don’t see that at all. I‘m going with Umaga and I really wish they would move Kane to Smackdown. I’m hoping they keep this match short because I think a short match would possibly make this halfway decent. In other words I am not expecting too much from this at all.
Winner: Umaga
Carlito vs. Randy Orton
Okay I don’t know how many of you know the latest on Randy Orton. To sum it up, the rumor is, that he got in trouble again for taking drugs, and instead of a 30 day suspension, he is working 30 days without pay. So if this is true, I have to go with a Carlito win. I probably would have picked Randy to beat Carlito since he lost to Hogan at Summerslam and a win tomorrow would be the start of a nice build up for Orton. But I’m going by these reports; giving Orton a win would be more shocking than a Kane win over Umaga. If he’s in trouble rewarding him a victory would be the last thing I would expect. I do believe this is going to be a very good match with Orton and Carlito giving the fans something to really get interested in. I cannot wait to watch this one, since I am a big Carlito fan and I do like Orton in the ring.
Winner: Carlito
World Tag Team Championship – The Highlanders vs. The Spirit Squad
The only thing that I can say about this one is that we will get new champs tomorrow night. There is no doubt in my mind that all the guys that make up the Squad have it when it comes to wrestling, but the wind has been knocked out of this group thanks to Vince, and because of that there is definitely a lack of interest for me in this match. Robbie and Rory have the makings of a fun twosome and they seem quite relaxed when it comes to mic work. And like the Squad they can produce in the ring as well, but it’s going to take major regrouping to get this division back to where it should be. As I said I see the Highlanders winning and the Squad in the very near future splitting up.
Winners: Robbie and Rory
Women’s Championship – Trish vs. Lita
This will be an especially emotional match to watch not only because Trish is leaving, but because she’ll be in front of her home crowd. Its ashame that Lita had some serious injuries in the last few years because these two women had a good rivalry going and so much more could have come from it. I was going with Lita here but then it hit me, no Trish needs something to get the crowd on their feet to say good bye to her, so while she’s not going to leave with the title she’s’ going to win on a DQ. Just look for Lita and Trish to work extra hard in this one.
Winner: Trish on a DQ
The IC Championship Title – Jeff Hardy vs. Johnny Nitro with Melina
This is the only match that I find myself very unsure about, since I definitely could see either guy leaving the winner. I have been so happy with Jeff Hardy’s return, and putting Hardy against Nitro has worked very well. I hope this match is given plenty of time; I would hate to see two guys with their capabilities to have to rush through this. This match has the makings of being one of the top matches of the night. Now do I go with Jeff Hardy? I mean what a nice way to welcome him back by making him the new IC champion. Or do I go with Johnny Nitro? Leaving the title on him a little longer is shows that management thinks highly of him and the more he defeats this title the better he looks in the ring. As I said this is a difficult one for me. I’m going with Nitro. I can see Hardy getting it at some point but not tomorrow night.
Winner: Johnny Nitro
Hell In A Cell Match – DX. vs. Vince Shane and the Big Show
Well Vince did it to the Spirit Squad and he’s kind of sucked the life out of DX by not letting them to their in ring shtick and taking most of the spotlight away from the fan favorites. I think the majority of us have had enough of Vince being the whole show and you have no idea how I would like to be able to say that after Sunday Vince is taking time off, or at least keeping a low profile, but I thought that would happen at Vengeance, and then at Summerslam, and we all know how that has turned out. I’m not happy with Big Show being in here, I think as long as he’s with ECW that’s where they should keep him. Will this match be good, or at least half way decent? I have no idea, but what is hitting me is the Nash/Hall rumor. This rumor is getting bigger and bigger and making more and more sense. I’m starting to think that it’s a big possibility.
So I’m wondering if after the match and a DX win, if we get a little preview of what could turn into the next DX feud. An appearance by Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Then again, I could be SO wrong about that. But I think I’m right about DX winning, too much has happened to them in the last month for them not to defeat the McMahon’s.
Winners: DX
WWE Championship – John Cena vs. Edge In A TLC Match
Hey Cena lost in front of his home crowd at Summerslam and now it’s Edge’s turn. There is NO WAY Edge is winning and leaving with the title. You know I have to laugh. If you check some of the sites, you’ll see Unforgiven spoilers, and it’s about Cena winning and not going to Smackdown. Well I don’t need the spoilers to tell me that’s he’s going to win. When it was announced that he would go there should he lose and then WWE made this big thing about how the Smackdown roster reacted to news of him coming back there, you just knew it was all BS. Raw is Vince’s top show there is no way that Cena is going to leave there to go to Smackdown. Of course sending him back there with Smackdown debuting on the CW network in my books would be a smart move, to bring in big ratings. But it’s not happening I am so sure about that.
This TLC match should be off the page, and while Edge is one of the top guys in matches like this, I am more than sure that Cena will look just as good. This should be the match of the night.
Winner: John Cena
Well there you have it and you can bet I’ll be watching the show, in fact it’s already ordered. Keep your predictions coming and before I leave I have a request from a reader, I hope you will be able to help him. I was watching the Armageddon 2000 Hell In A Cell and noticed Triple H came out with different theme music I’ve never heard of. It sounded like a mix of “My Time” and “The Game” Can you ask any of your readers if they have an MP3 or something of this theme. You can email me at mikerf17@hotmail.com
