A STAR from American wrestling will be fighting it out in Hindley next month.
Tracy Smothers, who has fought with the WWE, WCW and ECW, is the big-name attraction at Garage Pro Wrestling’s “Keep the Faith” show at the Monaco Ballroom in Hindley.
The American is taking on crowd favourite Dirk Feelgood in what has already become an eagerly anticipated encounter.
A spokesman for GPW said: “Veteran Smothers flies in from America to do battle here in Wigan for the first time in his illustrious career.
“Smothers made his name in the States and at 6ft 3 and nearly 20 stones he is not only a big man but a huge name too for GPW.”
Other stars appearing on the bill include British Champion “Dangerous” Damon Leigh, WKD, El Ligero and Bubblegum.
Heresy, Juice, Johnny Phere, Minx and Danny Hope are also appearing along with a handful of wrestlers making their debuts at the event on Friday, September 8.
British Champion Dangerous Damon Leigh is scheduled to defend his title after his successful victory over Dutchman Mark Kodiak.
International Champion Heresy will also defend his coveted title on the night.
• Doors will open 7pm and the action starts at 7:30 with a running time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Prices are £6 for adults £5 for 12 and under, £18 for a
family of four (two adults, two children). Prizes to be won on the night and a chance to meet former WWE superstar Tracy Smothers.
