The Valley’s J.T. Tinney thought the hardest part of competing to be a World Wrestling Entertainment Diva would be learning to wrestle. Turns out it was dealing with the catty competition. “The other contestants were really mean; much worse than any of the criticism I got from fans,†she says. “But I still came out of it with a couple friends.â€
The WWE Diva search began with eight women showing their stuff in talent competitions and wrestling boot camps each Friday night on “Smackdown,†and each following Monday — for six weeks — one of the Diva wannabes was sent home on “Raw.â€
The 23-year-old Tinney made it to the final show but placed third. She’s still hopeful for a future with the wrestling organization.
“I’m calling the WWE to talk business this week,†she says. “They’ve offered a couple of the other girls spots in their training camps.â€
Until she snags an agent or a modeling gig, Tinney says she’ll continue bartending and taking care of her 5-year-old daughter.
