Back in 1999, The Dangerous Women of Wrestling operated live events as “G.L.O.O.W.†The Gorgeous Ladies of Oil Wrestling (take notice to the second “O†for oil). In 2003, the prior ownership caught wind that the original “G.L.O.W.†(you remember the all Women’s promotion when you were growing up with all those great crotch shots and camera angles) was going to be resurrected as a Women’s Wrestling company. G.L.O.O.W. (with 2 “O’sâ€) changed the company operating name to The Dangerous Women of Wrestling, which was only a natural transition for the company, as the theme song used since 2000 was appropriately titled “Dangerous Women of Wrestlingâ€.
So where are we going with all this you ask?
Now in 2006, The Dangerous Women of Wrestling sign a National DVD distribution deal with Big Vision Entertainment (“Extremely Dangerous Women of Wrestling due out in stores Tuesday, September 5, 2006). However, the original “G.L.O.W.†signed a similar agreement with Big Vision Entertainment also.
