ECW TV ON SCI-FI REPORT
JULY 18, 2006
LIVE FROM CORPUS CHRISTI, TEX.
-Clips aired of the Undertaker-Big Show-Great Khali angle from Saturday Night’s Main Event. Then the ECW opening aired.
-Kelly Kelly did her Expose dance segment. Mike Knox came out again and covered her. He led her to the ring and lectured her. He said on the house mic he blamed Kelly for him getting beaten up by Sandman last week. Kelly was as naive and happy go lucky as usual through this, waving to the crowd. He said she should never take her clothes off in public again. The crowd booed. He told her to stand in the corner during his match.
1 — MIKE KNOX vs. SANDMAN
Knox went after Sandman right away. Sandman made a comeback after catching Knox with a boot to the face. Sandman swung his cane at Knox at ringside, but he pulled Kelly into his path. She fell to the mat and didn’t move. Because it was an Extreme Rules match, Knox legally kicked Sandman between the legs twice and scored the pin. Knox then left without checking on her well-being.
WINNER: Knox in 4:00.
STAR RATING: 3/4* – Quick, high energy, but not much of a match.

-They showed Kelly being carried out of the ring on a backboard.
-Paul Heyman came out and said he thought he made it clear to the fans last week that it was their fault he had to suspend RVD. He called the fans “my children” again and said they “must all drink Kool-Aid from the same glass.” He said the fans can’t keep up with his superior intellect. Tommy Dreamer interrupted. Styles provided backstory on Dreamer, noting that the was Paul Heyman’s right-hand man during the early ECW years. Tazz said Dreamer is someone you want in the trenches with you. He said he’s a stand-up guy. He said he was the best man at his wedding. Dreamer said he stood next to Heyman over the years even when Heyman did wrong. He said the locker room is confused, though. He said they all want an explanation for hi actions. “Heyman, please, what the hell is wrong with you?” he asked. Heyman took the mic back and kissed Dreamer on the lips. Styles and Tazz exclaimed, “What was that about?” Test then came out and gave Dreamer an Ace Crusher. Styles said Test must be aligned with Heyman now.
-They plugged Sabu in action later.

-A soundbite aired with Balls Mahoney. He said it’s not easy going through life with the name Balls Mahoney. He said, “Kill or be killed and have no regrets the next day as long as I give it my all. I may be a bit nuts, but I like myself that way, because I’m Balls Mahoney.”
2 — SABU vs. STEVIE RICHARDS
Richards challenged Sabu to a rematch in a standard rules match, since he lost an Extreme Rules match on SNME. Richards got in a fair amount of offense. Sabu hit a flip legdrop over the top rope onto Richards for a two count. He followed up with a springboard DDT and a camel clutch for the win.
WINNERS: Sabu in 4:00.
STAR RATING: * — Fine.
-A soundbite aired with C.M. Punk backstage. He said he is qualified to be in ECW because of his training in various martial arts all over the world. He said soon people will find out how disciplined he is. They’re doing a nice job building a personality for him and anticipation for his in-ring ECW TV debut.

3 — THE BIG SHOW vs. UNDERTAKER — ECW World Hvt. Title match
Tazz said he never thought he’d see the day Undertaker fought for the ECW Title. Styles called it a WrestleMania-caliber main event. Tazz said if any wrestler belongs on Sci-Fi, it’s Undertaker. Show dominated early with forearms, headbutts, and boots. Taker fought back at 1:00, but Show took him down with a headbutt. Taker caught Show with a boot as he charged in the corner. At 6:00 Show knocked Taker out of the ring with a clothesline. They cut to a break.
[Commercial Break]
During the break, Show rammed Taker back-first into the ringpost. Taker, though, was back on offense in the ring. At 6:00, Show knocked Taker to the floor and rammed his head into the ringside steps. Back in the ring, Taker applied a leg submission. Then he choked Show as the ref counted near five. Taker backed the referee into another corner for daring to do his job. When Taker went for his top rope walk, Show yanked him and crotched him. Show then hit a superplex which Styles and Tazz sold big time. Taker kicked out of the pin attempt, then sat right up. A minute later, Taker did the top rope walk again and came off with a forearm. Great Khali then came out. Taker met him in the aisle and they brawled. Show helped Khali chokeslam Taker through the announcers’ table. The ref called for a DQ. Khali stood over Taker with his foot on his chest. Styles and Tazz plugged the Great American Bash on Sunday.
WINNER: No contest in 15:00.
STAR RATING: **3/4 — Good big-man action. The non-finish was no surprise in this situation.
