I’m all set for Vengeance tonight. It’s ordered and I’m ready to go with my predictions. Now I have noticed from the feedback I have gotten so far the following picks seem to be popular with most of you. Fake Kane and Johnny Nitro are winning. These two names are leading the pack. Well let me show you my winners and tonight I’m hoping for more right then more wrong. Before I get into Vengeance, very quickly let me tell you what I thought of Smackdown.
I loved it. This was another very strong show. For a show with more mid carders than main eventers the last few weeks have really been well worth watching. I will keep this short; I’m giving the credit to Fit Finlay, Booker, Bobby Lashley and William Regal for giving the fans so much to care about and to watch. I then have to add the Mexicools, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Mark Henry, and Rey Mysterio because they really have given so much to the shows. Yes that’s right Mark Henry. Listen he might not be a guy I would put in the main event but he’s doing his job well. Vince should not only be very proud of these guys and so many others on the roster but he should be thankful that all of these men and women have come through when his main stars have not been able to be a part of Smackdown. Okay now on to my predictions.
Eugene vs. Umaga
Let’s just hope this is fast very fast.
Winner: Umaga
Kane vs. Fake Kane
I think we all saw this one coming and I’ll tell you while most of you feel that the fake Kane is winning I would be very disappointed if movie star Kane didn’t get this one. He’s been abused mentally and physically for weeks by this pretend Kane and it’s only right that baldy Kane leaves the show with a major victory.
Winner: Kane (the real Kane)
Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair
If you go by Foley he’s going to make Ric look like a laughing stock in front of his hometown by making this match come off like crap. Wow how can you not want to see this? Okay I’m being sarcastic. Really I don’t see this coming off as horrible as Foley wants us to believe. But honestly with Foley so out of shape and I know I say that a lot but considering Foley’s weight and Flair’s age I don’t know what to expect here. Flair I would imagine will give his all in front of the home crowd so really this should be a good match; well at least I hope so. I’m giving the win to Flair partially because they are in Charlotte but also because Foley won two weeks ago at One Night Stand and I can’t see him getting back to back wins.
Winner: Ric Flair
Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton
This is a rematch from One Night Stand where Orton lost to Angle. So to me this is a given that Randy is beating Kurt tonight. I liked their match very much two weeks ago and I expect this one to be just as good if not better.
Winner: Randy Orton
Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro with Melina for the I.C. Championship
Hey this should be one of the better matches of the night. Now here’s were the majority of you see Nitro winning. I’ll tell you why I don’t. He pinned Carlito on Monday to me that was his victory. And after the match Carlito got the upper hand on Shelton Benjamin so my whacky theory is because of the above I’m staying with Shelton for the win. Also Benjamin just got the title back several weeks ago so I really don’t see him losing quiet yet.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin
John Cena vs. Sabu Extreme Lumberjack Match
The keyword here is EXTREME. Here’s hoping this is. We know Sabu and Cena can make this work but my concern is the lumberjacks. Are they going to be extreme and make things nice and interesting or will this be a watered down version and instead of things getting bloody and brutal we well see some kicks to Cena and he’s thrown back in the ring? I’m hoping for off the charts extreme. I’m going with Cena because of what Sabu did to him on Raw this past Monday night.
Winner: John Cena
DX vs. the Spirit Squad
DX is winning I’m 99.9% sure about that. I think this will be a fun match but my only complaint is that the Squad has been in matches with Shawn Michaels and Hunter for a while now so this won’t be exactly a fresh match. However we haven’t seen HBK and Triple H team up against them and team up as DX so hopefully this will be plenty entertaining.
Winner: DX
Rob Van Dam vs. Edge with Lita WWE Championship
Now this should be damn good, damn good. I’m looking forward to this one so much. Okay I have to scenarios. The first is, if Vince wants to continue to keep Edge, Cena and RVD on Raw and ECW then Van Dam is winning with Cena paying Edge back for interfering at ONS and costing Cena the win. However, my second scenario is Edge wins, RVD leaves without the WWE title but he is still ECW champion and we no longer see him on Raw. And now we have Edge and Cena feuding right through Summer Slam for the title. And that’s the way I’m going. I see Edge becoming WWE champion for the second time. As I said this should be a hell of a match and a strong match to end the show.
Winner: Edge
So there you go not a bad card at all. I will have my thoughts about the show on Tuesday when I talk about Raw.
