UPCOMING LEGENDS EVENTS UPDATED
A big-time pro wrestling turnout is scheduled at the Big Apple Convention this June 24-25, as “Rowdy†Roddy Piper, Captain Lou Albano, “Luscious†Johnny Valiant (Saturday only), Outback Jack, and Virgil are scheduled to appear. They will be available on both Saturday and Sunday, greeting their fans and signing autographs.
The Big Apple Convention is located at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, 33rd St & 7th Ave in Manhattan, across from Madison Square Garden. General admission is $10. On Sunday, kids 12 and under are FREE!
Over a dozen other celebrity guests will be appearing all weekend, including: Steven Seagal (Above the Law, Under Siege), who will be performing with his band on Saturday evening, Matthew Wood – (Star Wars “General Grievous”), Kathy Garver (A Family Affair), Robert Vaughn (Superman Returns, The Man from U.N.C.L.E), Michael Bailey Smith (HILLS HAVE EYES 2006, BUFFY, CHARMED), Tony Moran (Michael Myers from Halloween), Steve Dash (Original Jason from Friday 13th), Big Kev (Opie and Anthony show) and many more to be announced.
For Comic Book Fans, critically acclaimed creator Frank Brunner (X-Men, Creepy, Dr. Strange) will be making a special Big Apple appearance for his East Coast fans. Joe Linsner (Cry For Dawn) will be in attendance all weekend. Also appearing will be Golden Age comic artists Joe Simon (who created Captain America with Jack Kirby), Irwin Hasen (Dondi, Green Lantern), and Rich Buckler, comic book scholar Professor William Foster III, and cutting edge artists Jerry Ordway, (Superman, Shazam), Josweph Michael Linser (Cry For Dawn), Billy Tucci (Shi), Alex Saviuk, Michael Lark, Michael Lilly, Damion Scott, Ivan Brandon, Andy MacDonald, Rodney Ramos, Jim Keueger, Guy Dorian, and dozens more.
Numerous panels, screenings, events and giveaways will be happening throughout the weekend, including the always amazing Costume Contest hosted by Captain Zorikh and Jolie Voltaire (as featured on Comedy Central) with lots of valuable prizes!
