WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Chris Benoit vs. Finlay
Undertaker Vs. Great Khali
Kurt Angle Vs. Mark Henry
Melina Vs. Jillian
Since the event is being held in Phoenix which was where Eddie Guerrero moved shortly before his untimely passing, it is rumored that WWE might try to capitlize on that in order to get more heat on John Bradshaw Layfield. As has been reported, it is all but confirmed that JBL will win the title this Sunday as Rey Mysterio is in dire need of knee surgery. This is nothing to do with Rey Mysterio’s reign as champion, but rather that the injury is getting worse every time Rey steps inside the ring and it needs to be fixed immediately. Rey is rumored to be pushed back into the title picture when he returns; however, by that point, Batista will be back on television and WWE has been pushing that Batista will be fighting for the belt back upon his return. Plans for the United States Championship are unknown at this time.
The two championship matches are also unknown right now, but a title change is not unlikely. WWE has become very high on both of the Mexicools’ work and has been since their debut. The only thing holding back the group at the start was Juventud Guerrera who killed their high-standing with management a number of times. As far as Brian Kendrick & Paul London, this team was originally scheduled to beat the Dudley Boyz in 2004 for the Tag Team Championship, but when Brian Kendrick left, the spot was given to Billy Kidman. Many in WWE, especially Dusty Rhodes, have been pushing for the two since late 2005 and it seems that if they do not win the belts this Sunday, they will by at least Summerslam.
Undertaker is said to be very cautious about his match this Sunday with Khali, as well as others. The general consensus backstage is that he is so green in the business, that everyone risks a major injury by getting in the ring with him. While the incident that resulted in the death of Brian Ong in APW was ruled a complete accident, it is not something wrestlers will forget easily, especially those who have to work with him.
