TNA iMPACT! Report for May 11, 2006
by Richard Trionfo
We are approaching the weekend of the Sacrifice pay per view. Who will be the man that Sting chooses to be his tag team partner against Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett? What new matches will be announced for Sacrifice? What will Kevin Nash say in the second part of his interview with Alex Shelley? Will Christian confront Abyss since Abyss still possesses the NWA World Title belt? Will Larry Zbyszko be chased by Raven this week and if so, where will Raven find him? What will happen in the World X Cup this week? Will we see any more dissension among the members of Team USA?
We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando and your announcers are Mike ‘TNA’ Tenay and Don ‘You have got to be kidding me’ West.
We start off tonight’s show with Team 3D coming to the ring. Brother Ray gets on the mic and he says that since they got to TNA they have been fighting warriors in the ring no matter who they faced in the ring. They fought until the end. He does not know how management decided that Christopher Daniels and A.J. Styles deserved a title match before they did. He says that Daniels and Styles are both great wrestlers and both of them are the future of the wrestling industry. He is proud to be in the same company as them. As far as being a great tag team, it ain’t happening. They do not deserve a title match before the most successful tag team in the business. TNA management know it, Team 3D knows it, and so do the fans. They deserve the title match against America’s Most Wanted.
From out of nowhere, the music for the James Gang plays and they come to the ring. BG gets on the mic and he apologizes for busting into their interview because it is unprofessional and disrespectful. A few things troubled him. He heard Brother Ray say that they were the most distinguished tag team in wrestling history. BG says that he begs to differ because they never beat the James Gang. Brother Ray says that they never beat them, except for that one time they won their first WWE Tag Team Title.
BG says that he wants to take them down memory lane. What about a tag team that sold out Madison Square Garden forty-seven times in a row. On the other hand you have a team scratching to bring 350 people to a bingo hall. Brother Ray says that they might be jealous that they could never get over in that bingo hall. BG says that he never plays bingo. Brother Ray yells out ‘B-52’ and BG says that Brother Ray sank his battleship. This isn’t a bingo hall, it is the Impact Zone and the big boys play in a six sided circle. He has a solution. Since their dance card is wide open at Sacrifice, why not do the thing at the pay per view. Brother Ray suggests that they settle some old business at Sacrifice and BG says that they have a deal.

Styles, and Rhino. Before Jeremy can ask a question, Gail wants to know what is going on with Jackie and Chris wants to know as well. They ask her if she is crying and Harris tells Jackie that there is no crying in wrestling. Gail calls Jackie pathetic and then he tells Gail to have Jackie get some coffee for Bobby. James wants another beer, but Chris tells them not to get James any more beer. Chris apologizes to D’Amore. From out of nowhere, Larry Zbyszko comes into the locker room and he wants some help with Raven and Scott says that he is not interested in helping. We are back and Jeremy Borash is in the locker room with the members of Team USA. Alex tells them that he is here to deliver a message. He knows that they really don’t get along with him and don’t like him that much, but the feelings are returned. He felt remised as an X Division wrestler, a humanitarian, and a friend if he didn’t show them the video.
We go to Part 2 of Alex’s interview with Kevin Nash. Alex says that he knows that Kevin brought him here for a reason to agree to do this and benefit himself. Kevin says that he wants to get this back to TNA. He has until October 2007 on his contract and they are going to honor it. He talks about how they spent this time on Sting so they should do a lot more for Kevin Nash, but they have not done that. He is going to have to shake things up. He is going to go after their little pride and joy. He is going to go after the X Division. He will go after something that gave TNA its identity. If he destroys what gave TNA its identity, then he becomes TNA’s identity. If you become that identity, then you become the most valuable thing to that company. That means that you get the most money. By the time his deal comes up, he will be the hottest entity in the business and the numbers will be going up again. Then he will renegotiate. He says that you can line up the entire X Division and at his age, he could single handedly defeat all of them night after night. A mediocre big man would destroy the best small man night in and night out. Kevin asks Alex what the motto for the X Division is. Alex says that it is ‘it is not about weight limits, it is about no limits’. Kevin tells Alex to take credit for anything you can. He wants to see them back it up. Which one can back it up when you take the size 16 boot to the face.
Chris, Sonjay, and Jay are in shock at the footage and Sabin wants Shelley to ‘man up’. Alex says that the footage missed him defending the X Division with his heart and soul. Then it missed Kevin saying that he would be at the pay per view on Sunday. Alex says that it is a 100 percent guarantee that Kevin will be there. Sonjay says that it is time for the dinosaurs to move to the side and now Kevin can say it to his face. Sabin, Dutt, and Lethal leave without Shelley and Alex tells them not to shoot the messenger.
Don and Mike are at ringside. Mike talks about Alex’s comments that Kevin Nash will be at Sacrifice and Mike says that he cannot wait to see how Kevin is greeted by the X Division wrestlers. Don says that the X Division wrestlers have a lot of pride and they know that they are the best athletes in the world and they did not like what Kevin Nash had to say.
As Abyss walks to the ring for his match, James Mitchell is on the TNATron and he lets us know that the NWA World Heavyweight Title belt is in safe hands. On Sunday he will release it so it can be hung above the ring at Sacrifice. So Christian can get a taste of what he is in store for in Full Metal Mayhem, Abyss has prepared a preview.

He earned that because he is the smartest man in professional wrestling. He forgot more mind games than Sting will ever know. He says that he knows that Sting is out of partners. He knows that Sting does not have the opportunity to call Hulk Hogan because he is off shooting some fake reality show. He cannot pick Scott Hall because his second old lady dumped him again.
