As just about every wrestling fan knows, Randy Orton was suspended by WWE for sixty days, for what the company called “unprofessional conduct.” I was told a few days ago the reason was “Randy being Randy,” but now we’ve gotten more information on the situation.
As it turns out, Randy’s “unprofessional conduct” took place backstage at WrestleManai 22, and it had nothing to do with the new WWE Drug Policy, nor with the dress code. As it turns out, it was Orton’s treatment of a WWE Diva that got him in trouble. Whatever it is that took place was said to be very disrespectful to women. The PW Torch Newsletter reminds that Orton has been fined numerous times before for using the “C” word towards women. There was also an instance a while ago where Orton drove former WWE Diva Amy Webber to the point where she decided to quit, after making horrible jokes about her stripping in a Japanese strip club.
Sources note that all the veterans in the back are sick of Randy Orton’s behavior, with The Undertake “despising” the young superstar. Guys like Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle are also growing tired of him and his shennanigans, while close friends Triple H and Ric Flair barely tolerate Orton’s immature behavior.
The third-generation superstar was supposed to take on Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 21, but the spot was taken away from him and given to Batista who proved more serious in his level of professionalism, as well as got more response from the crowd.
