– “The Power Is Back” WWE promo hits. A video package runs highlighting how Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton are all involved in the World Heavyweight Title scene in the road to WrestleMania 22. They highlight the match between Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton tonight where the winner will move on to WrestleMania 22 to face the World Heavyweight Champion. The World Heavyweight Title Match tonight between champion Kurt Angle and challenger The Undertaker is also highlighted.
– An opening graphic hits welcoming us to No Way Out. We then go live to Baltimore where a series of pyro goes off. Michael Cole & Tazz also welcome us to the show at ringside. They then pass it on to the Spanish Announce Team.
– WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms is making his way to the ring to start up the first match of the night.
9 Man WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Gregory Helms (c) vs. Kid Kash vs. Psicosis vs. Super Crazy vs. Paul London vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Nunzio vs. Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Funaki
During all of the entrances, Gregory Helms looked on from the ringside area. It was announced that all cruiserweights will be allowed to be in the ring at the same time. The first to score a pin will win. The match starts with all men attacking Helms who leaves quickly. Helms continues to look on from the ringside area as the rest brawl in the ring. Hotty goes after Nunzio with some big rights. Nunzio fights back with a few knees. Psicosis chokes Funaki in the corner while Super Crazy goes after Brian Kendrick. Kid Kash is on Paul London right now. London takes out Nunzio with a big mule kick. London and Kendrick take out Hotty with a double-dropkick. London gets tossed out as Helms continues to look on. Kendrick then gets tossed out. Both Super Crazy and Psicosis take out Kendrick and London on the outside over the rope. In the ring is Kash and Funaki. Kash takes out Funaki with a big suplex. Kash misses a moonsault on Funaki. Funaki hits a bulldog on Kash, covers, but Helms comes in to break the count. Hemls kicks Kash hard as Nunzio, Funaki and Hotty all come in. The rest come in and all take out Helms.
All of the cruiserweights are back in the ring all brawling with each other respectively. London takes out Psicosis with a big huricanranna. Super Crazy hits a big dropkick on London. Kendrick misses a dropkick attempt and both Mexicools do a big rolling flapjack. Helms blocks a pin attempt by Super Crazy on Kendrick. Psicosis gets tossed over the top rope. London kicks Helms on his lower back. Kash chokes Hotty in the corner. Funaki then starts kicking Nunzio in the other corner. Helms fights back on London with some stiff shots. Hotty takes out Kash with a big back suplex. Hotty flips up, but Helms kicks him and puts him on his shoulders. Helms drops Hotty on his knee and Kash breaks up the pinfall attempt. Helms pushes Kash. Kash pushes Helms back. Kash and Helms exchanges rights. Hotty gets a schoolboy on Kash that gets broken up after two. Hotty takes out Helms to the outside. In the ring, Kash is with Psicosis. Psicosis dives through the second rope and then Kash leaps over the top rope taking out Psicosis with a huge head scissors. In the ring, Nunzio takes out London with a big leg drop, but Kendrick breaks up the pinfall.
In the ring, London launches Kendrick into Nunzio and Funaki. London and Kendrick go up to the top rope, jump and they take out Nunzio, Hotty and Funaki on the outside. Helms rolls in the ring as Super Crazy looked to leap over. Helms takes out Super Crazy with a big forearm. Super Crazy then takes out Helms with a big spin kick. Kendrick hits the reverse DDT on Helms, but the pinfall gets broken up. London takes out Helms off the top, but his pinfall gets broken up by Hotty. Hotty and London exchange forearms. Hotty superkicks London who rolls out. Hotty hits the bulldog on Helms. Hotty does the W-O-R-M jump. Hotty goes to hit The Worm and connects. Hotty covers…1…2…Psicosis pulls Hotty to the outside. Psicosis comes in as well as Kash. Kash breaks up the pinfall by Psicosis on Helms. Kash kicks Psicosis and Psicosis counters out of what Kash attempted. Kash then counters a suplex by Psicosis, kicks him and then hits the Brainbuster. Kash covers…1…2…Super Crazy hits a moonsault on Kash to break it up. Helms then rolls in and covers Psicosis…1…2…3.
Winner & STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Gregory Helms
After the match, Helms retreats up the ramp and smiles raising the Cruiserweight Title high in the air. All the rest of the cruiserweights see this and take off after Helms.
– Backstage, SmackDown GM Teddy Long is with WWE United States Champion Booker T and Sharmell. Booker complains that he isn’t 100% tonight when he has to face Chris Benoit.
– Backstage, Krystal welcomes us to the PPV when Fit Finlay walks up. Finlay said he didn’t come here tonight to not get in a fight. Finlay then picks up Krystal and carries her to the arena. They get to the ring when Bobby Lashley runs out. Lashley starts going after Finlay. Finlay starts beating down Finlay when JBL’s music hits and he comes out. JBL hits the ring just as Lashley hits a big overhead belly to belly. The bell rings and we start the second match of the night.
JBL w/ Jillian Hall vs. Bobby Lashley
Two more WWE referee’s come out and kick Finlay to the back. JBL has a shocked look on his face in how his plan didn’t work. JBL hits a thumb to the eye on Lashley, but Lashley comes back with a right hand. Lashley works on JBL in the corner with some shoulder thrusts. JBL gets in a big boot on Lashley followed by a shoulder charge. Lashley then fights back with some forearms and knees to the gut. Lashley hits a back body drop on JBL followed by an elbow drop. Lashley hits another quick back body drop. JBL retreats to the outside. When Lashley comes out, JBL puts Jillian Hall in front of him. JBL then slaps Lashley. Lashley nails JBL off the steel steps. Hall smacks Lashley over the back with her clipboard. Hall runs away when Lashley hits a belly-to-belly suplex on JBL. Lashley throws JBL in the ring, covers, but only gets a two count. Lashley then hits a big vertical suplex on JBL. Lashley goes for the Dominator when JBL counters and sends Lashley through the ropes. JBL goes out throws Lashley off the steel steps two times.
JBL throws Lashley back in the ring, goes up to the top and hits a big elbow drop to the chest of Lashley. JBL covers, but only gets a two count. JBL hits a forearm to the spine of Lashley. JBL then kicks Lashley a few times in the corner and then hits a swinging neckbreaker. JBL picks up Lashley again and hits a second swinging neckbreaker. JBL drops a few elbows on Lashley, covers, but Lashley gets a shoulder up at two and a half. Lashley gets to his feet and JBL nails him with a right. JBL responds with a right of his own. JBL then gets Lashley in a sleeper. JBL continues to lock it in as Lashley begins to fall to his knees. When Lashley starts to pass out, JBL quickly hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. When Lashley gets to his feet, JBL starts to kick him a few times and Lashley finally hits the corner with force and falls down. Lashley hits a big powerslam on JBL when he jumps off the top rope. Lashley then takes down JBL with a few shoulder charges and a big clothesline. Lashley hits a huge belly-to-belly suplex.
Lashley then hits three more belly-to-belly suplexes! JBL is now busted open across his face at this point. Lashley grabs JBL, gets him up on his shoulder, JBL slides through, Lashley then hits a T-Bone Suplex, covers, but JBL kicks out after two. Fit Finlay then appears at ringside and throws the ring announcer in the ring. In the ring, Lashley hits a clothesline on JBL. Finlay then comes in with the referee distracted and nails Lashley with a shilleleigh to the throat. JBL then hits the Clothesline From Hell on Lashley, covers and gets the pinfall.
Winner: JBL
After the match, a bloody JBL celebrates his victory along with Jillian Hall as he headed back up the ramp. Bobby Lashley is then attended to by a WWE referee. Lashley gets back to his feet on his own, leaves the ring and then heads to the back.

– A promo hits showing we are just 42 days away from WrestleMania 22 in Chicago.
– Former World Heavyweight Champion is making his way to the ring and was introduced as tonight’s special guest. Batista gets on the mic and said it is a thrill of a life to walk through that curtain. He said he wants to make this short and sweet so the show can move along. Batista said the first reason he is here is so he can see Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title. He said the second reason is he misses the SmackDown fans and being in front of a crowd. Batista said you have no idea how hard it is to “sit on your ass” and watch SmackDown every week. A “BATISTA” chant starts up. Batista said the third reason he is here, his torn tricep, it isn’t torn anymore. He said he is in rehab everyday and sooner rather than later he will be back. Batista said it doesn’t matter who is World Champion when he gets back. He said whoever is champion by then needs to know one thing…he will be back and will become World Heavyweight Champion once again. Batista then leaves the ring, shakes hands with Michael Cole and Tazz and then shakes hands with some fans at ringside as he heads to the back.
– Backstage, we see World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle watching what just happened when Randy Orton walks up. Orton mocks Batista’s comments. He said it won’t be Undertaker or Angle who is World Champion by the time Batista returns from his injury, it will be him. Orton said by then he hopes he will get his much deserved respect. Angle said he isn’t focused on Orton tonight, he is focused on The Undertaker.
– We see JBL backstage in the WWE.com Instant Access area with Jillian Hall.
Open Challenge Match
WWE Tag Team Champions MNM w/ Melina vs. Matt Hardy & Tatanka
The match begins with Matt Hardy and Joey Mercury. It starts with Mercury going after Hardy right away with some stiff forearms to the back. Hardy fights back with some forearms of his own. Hardy nails Mercury with a hard right followed by another taking Mercury down again. Hardy works on the left arm of Mercury and then drops a leg on that as well. Tatanka gets the tag and he nails Mercury with a big chest chop. Mercury fights away and tags in Johnny Nitro. Tatanka takes down Nitro with a big arm drag and tags in Hardy. Hardy and Tatanka double-team Nitro with a big high back body drop. Mercury comes in and he gets taken out with a big reverse flapjack by Hardy and Tatanka. Mercury then drops Hardy off the top rope and Nitro goes to work on Hardy quickly. Nitro chokes Hardy on the second rope and Melina taunts at Hardy in his face. Nitro continues choking Hardy on the second rope and then slaps him. MNM attempt a double-suplex on Hardy, but Hardy lands on his feet and takes out both of MNM instead. Tatanka then gets the tag and takes out both members of MNM with some big chops. Tatanka goes after Mercury on the outside, chops him and then throws him into the barricade.
Tatanka chops Mercury yet again taking him out. Melina then distracts Tatanka. This allows Nitro to jump off the ring apron and dropkick Tatanka. Nitro puts Tatanka in the ring and he hits some shoulder blocks in the corner. Mercury gets the tag and he hits a big splash on Tatanka followed by a snapmare. Mercury drops a knee to the head on Tatanka followed by some stiff rights to the head. Nitro gets the tag and he works on Tatanka in the corner. Nitro distracts the referee and Mercury works on Tatanka. Tatanka fights back with some chops on Nitro. Nitro fights back with a kick to the gut and then tags in Mercury. MNM hit a double-elbow on Tatanka, Mercury covers, but only gets a two count. Mercury applies a sleeper, but Tatanka hits a few elbows to his gut. Mercury then counters that into a reverse neckbreaker. Tatanka then fights back and hits an atomic drop on Mercury. Nitro jumps off the top rope, but comes up short and Tatanka takes him out with a clotheslines. Hardy begs for a tag and gets in. Hardy takes out Mercury with some right hands as well as Nitro. Hardy hits a tilt-a-whirl side slam on Mercury followed by a charge in the corner on Nitro. Hardy takes out Nitro with a bulldog and a clothesline on Mercury at the same time.
Hardy hits an elbow on Mercury and a Side Effect on Nitro. Hardy then kicks Mercury in the gut, goes for the Twist of Fate, Mercury sends Hardy into the ropes and Nitro nails him with a superkick. Hardy fights back with a jumping clothesline on MNM. Tatanka then gets the tag. He takes out both members of MNM with a big chop. Tatanka gets Mercury up. Tatanka hits a samoa drop on Mercury and Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on Nitro. Tatanka covers Mercury and gets the pinfall.
Winners: Matt Hardy & Tatanka
After the match, Matt Hardy and Tatanka celebrated the win as Melina and the WWE Tag Team Champions MNM looked on. Melina motioned the tag titles to Hardy and Tatanka and they responded that they wanted them.

Booker T (c) w/ Sharmell vs. Chris Benoit
Before the match, Booker T got on the mic and told the referee he wanted to say something before he rang the bell. Booker said he has made up his mind. He said there will not be a United States Championship match tonight. Booker calls out SmackDown GM Teddy Long. He said he can beat Benoit any day of the week, when he is healthy. Booker said he was up 3-0 on Benoit during the Best of 7 Series, when he was healthy. Teddy Long then comes out. Booker said he wants to make this official. He said tonight, he is going to forfeit the United States Championship. Booker asks if Benoit is happy now. Booker drops the mic and gets out of the ring. Benoit gets on the mic and says “COWARD” a few times as the crowd joins along with. He tells Booker there is no way in hell he is accepting that title by forfeit. Benoit tells Booker to get back in the ring right now. Sharmell then tells Benoit this is all of his fault and slaps him. She slaps him a second and third time. Booker then hits the ring and attacks Benoit. The bell then rings and here we go. Booker nails Benoit with some right hands followed by some stiff kicks to the chest.
Booker then takes out Benoit with a high elbow. Benoit fights back with some stiff chops followed by nailing him face first off the corner. Booker fights back with some knees to the mid-section of Benoit. Benoit ducks out of a high knee and Benoit nails him with a few chops. Benoit hits Booker with some right hands that sends Booker through the ropes to the outside. Benoit chops Booker against the ring barricade and then throws him back in. Booker cuts off Benoit when he gets in with some forearms and kicks. Booker attempts a suplex on Benoit, but Benoit blocks it and hits a snap suplex of his own. Benoit hits a high back suplex on Booker, hooks the leg, but Booker kicks out after two. Benoit chops Booker in the corner a few times. Benoit hits a knee to Booker’s face. Booker attempts a roll through on Benoit in the corner, but Benoit counters and gets in some rights. Benoit goes off the ropes and hits a baseball slide to the spine of Booker T sending him to the outside. Benoit then drives Booker’s back into the ring barricade. Booker attempts to send Benoit into the steel steps, but Benoit counters and sends Booker into the steel steps. Booker then grabs his groin and tells the referee he is hurt.
The referee attends to Booker and he tells him to back Benoit off. When Benoit gets near Booker, Booker pulls him into the steel steps and smiles. Booker throws Benoit back in the ring and hits a big kick to the chest. Booker covers Benoit, but Benoit kicks out after two. Booker then starts to work on the left arm of Benoit. Benoit hits a few shots to the ribs on Booker. Booker then counters that into a takedown on Benoit. Benoit moves around to avoid it. Booker gets another takedown. Benoit moves around. Booker gets in a third takedown. Benoit moves around and hooks the leg of Booker. Booker then locks in a full nelson on Benoit. Benoit counters out of the full nelson, but Booker counters that into a hammerlock. Benoit then comes out of no where with a release german suplex on Booker. Benoit then jumps on Booker and tries to lock on the Crossface. Booker rolls out of the Crossface and then hits a big spin kick to the jaw of Benoit. Booker covers Benoit, but only gets a two count. Booker then locks Benoit in a sleeper. Benoit starts to fade away. Booker continues to lock in the sleeper. The referee raises the arm of Benoit once, twice, but Benoit keeps the arm up at the third attempt. Benoit gets to his feet and hits a big back suplex on Booker.
When both men get back up, Booker drops Benoit off the top rope. Booker then hits a quick suplex on Benoit. Booker picks up Benoit again and hits another suplex. Booker quickly covers Benoit, but only gets a two count. Booker picks up Benoit and both began exchanging chest chops. Booker then catches Benoit with a boot to the face in the corner. Booker then kicks Benoit in the gut, bounces off the ropes, misses the Scissors Kick and Benoit hits a few chops. Benoit takes out Booker with two big elbows. Benoit then gives Booker the Three Amigo Suplexes in a tribute to Eddie Guerrero. Benoit covers Booker, but only gets a two count. Booker then comes back with a big jumping spin kick on Benoit. Booker goes up to the top rope, but Benoit cuts him off with some chops. Benoit climbs up with Booker. Benoit headbutts Booker a few times. Benoit hooks the arm of Booker and hits a big superplex! Benoit covers Booker…1…2…Booker kicks out after two. Booker then nails Benoit with a big spinebuster in the middle of the ring. Booker goes up to the top rope, jumps, attempts his famous front flip, but Benoit moves out of the way. Both men are down. The referee gets to 7 when Benoit gets up and gives Booker one german suplex, a second and a third with a release. Benoit signals for the end. Sharmell then gets up on the ring apron and distracts the referee. Booker trips up Benoit on the top and pulls him down. Booker then hits the Scissor’s Kick on Benoit. Booker covers…1…2…Benoit kicks out!
Booker then picks up Benoit, chops him, they exchange a pinfall attempt in the corner, but Benoit breaks it up. Benoit attempts the Sharpshooter on Booker, but Booker kicks out of it. Benoit hits the ropes and it knocks Sharmell off. Benoit then locks the Sharpshooter on Booker. Benoit drags Booker to the center of the ring, breaks the Sharpshooter and then applies the Crossface on Booker. Booker taps out.
Winner & NEW WWE United States Champion: Chris Benoit
After the match, Chris Benoit celebrates his victory and becoming the new WWE United States Champion with the crowd in Baltimore. Benoit heads up the ramp and holds the title high in the air as Sharmell looks on disgusted while attending to Booker T. The crowd starts a loud “YOU TAPPED OUT” chant to Booker T as he leaves the ring and heads up the ramp with Sharmell.
– Backstage, Chris Benoit celebrates his title win with Rey Mysterio. Benoit is also greeted by Teddy Long, Matt Hardy, Tatanka, Bobby Lashley, Scotty 2 Hotty, Paul London & Brian Kendrick, Pat Patterson, The Mexicools and finally Chavo Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero. Benoit then tells Mysterio to beat Orton tonight and that he is not only doing it for him, Chavo and Vickie, but for Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio gets a good luck hug from Vickie Guerrero.
– A video package runs highlighting the events between Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble and the weeks that followed on SmackDown leading to this match tonight.
Winner Faces World Champion at WrestleMania 22
Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton
A shot is shown of Rey Mysterio’s daughter at ringside along with Guerrero’s family. When the bell rings, a loud “EDDIE” chant starts up. The match starts with Orton locking up with Mysterio and pushing him into the corner. The referee breaks this up, Orton backs up and both circle the ring. Orton gets in a takedown on Mysterio, but Mysterio moves and gets the ropes with his feet. Orton then slaps Mysterio. Mysterio then kicks Orton with force in the gut followed by a headlock takedown. Mysterio then takes out Orton with a face first bulldog. Mysterio covers, but only gets a two count. Mysterio kicks Orton in the corner and then jumps up getting in some hard rights. Mysterio chops Orton then springboards off the ropes attempting a cross-body, but Orton drops and dodges Mysterio. Orton smiles and then approaches Mysterio, kicking him on the ground a few times. Orton taunts at the crowd and then chokes out Mysterio in the corner with his boot. Orton kicks Mysterio in the corner followed by some forearms to the back. A “RANDY SUCKS” chant starts up as Orton drops his knee over the chest of Mysterio.
Orton picks up Mysterio in the corner and toys with him a bit, slapping him upside his head. Orton then sends Mysterio with force into the opposite corner. Mysterio bounces off with force. Orton covers Mysterio, but gets a two count. Orton then mocks the late Eddie Guerrero doing his chest taunt. Orton then uppercuts Mysterio with force. Mysterio bounces back with a huge kick to the face on Orton. Mysterio takes out Orton with a big tilt-a-whirl huricanranna. When Orton stands up on the outside, Mysterio gets on the ring apron, jumps, Orton catches Mysterio, Mysterio tries to fall down, Mysterio is hanging down and Orton drives him right into the ring post. Orton goes into the ring and taunts at the crowd who boo back loudly. Orton goes to the outside, works on Mysterio’s left arm that hit the ring post, throws him back inside and then applies an arm bar to that bad left arm. Mysterio fights out of it and takes out Orton with a kick to the face. Orton comes back with a kick to the gut, puts Mysterio on his shoulder and drops him down hard right over his shoulder. Orton covers Mysterio, but Mystero kicks out. Orton covers Mysterio for a second time, but against Mysterio kicks out.
Orton then goes back to work on Mysterio’s left arm. Mysterio fights his way back to his feet, kicking Orton a few times. Orton continues to work on the left arm, but Mysterio snaps up with a big huricanranna on Orton. Orton then stomps on the bad left arm of Mysterio. Mysterio rolls out in pain. Orton then puts Mysterio’s bad arm on the steel steps and stomps on it. Mysterio throws the arm of Mysterio off the steel steps as well. Orton throws Mysterio back in the ring, covers, but Mysterio kicks out yet again. Orton then wraps the left arm of Mysterio over the middle rope and wrenches on it. Orton picks up Mysterio, puts him on his shoulders, but Mysterio connects with an arm drag on Orton that sends Orton through the ropes to the outside. When Orton gets back in, Mysterio cuts him off with a big flying forearm. Mysterio gives Orton a drop toe hold into the second turnbuckle. Mysterio climbs up to the top rope, Orton gets to his feet and cuts him off with a few forearms. Orton puts Mysterio on his shoulders and starts scaling up to the second rope. Mysterio counters out of that and connects with a sunset flip on Orton! Mysterio covers Orton…1…2…Orton kicks out.
Mysterio then takes out Orton with a big side kick. Mysterio picks up Orton, hits a forearm to the head and then hits a baseball slide to the knee. Mysterio hits a senton drop right on top of Orton off the top rope. Mysterio nails Orton again, covers, but Orton kicks out after two. Orton’s forehead is now busted open at this point. Mysterio then kicks Orton, springboards off the ropes, Orton catches him, but Mysterio counters and plants Orton in the middle of the ring. Mysterio covers Orton again, but Orton kicks out after two. Orton then gives Mysterio a thumb to the eye. Mysterio comes back with a kick to the ribs and face on Orton. Mysterio goes up to the top rope, jumps, but Orton catches Mysterio in mid-air with a huge dropkick! Mysterio grabs his chest in pain. Orton stalks Mysterio as he is about to get up. A bloody Orton smiles as Mysterio gets to his feet. Orton goes to jump for the RKO, but Mysterio dropkicks him in the face. Orton falls on the second rope. Mysterio goes for the 619. Orton ducks and then rolls up Mysterio for the quick pinfall.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Randy Orton slides out of the ring and smiles as Rey Mysterio looks shocked. Michael Cole & Tazz say they can’t believe what just happened. Cole notes that Randy Orton is now going to WrestleMania. Randy Orton then gets on the mic. Orton tells Mysterio guess what. Orton says he is going to the main event of WrestleMania. He asks Mysterio where he is going and drops the mic. Orton’s music hits and he taunts at Mysterio who is still fuming in the middle of the ring. Mysterio starts breaking down in the ring and then starts pacing. Mysterio leaves the ring and smacks the ring frustrated about his loss. Mysterio heads to the back as we see a shot of Tazz wondering what he must feel like right now. Michael Cole and Tazz say they are shocked.
– We see a shot backstage of Rey Mysterio. He confronts Chavo Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero. Mysterio apologizes to Chavo and Vickie. He said he let them down. Chavo tells him to keep his chin up and that he didn’t let anyone down. Mysterio said he let the whole Guerrero family down. A crying Vickie hugs Mysterio. They all three hug and Mysterio continues to apologize. Mysterio walks by the crowd of SmackDown stars looking on as he continues to show his frustration by banging on the walls.
– A video package rolls highlighting Kurt Angle’s win in the Battle Royal on SmackDown when he jumped from RAW to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. We then see when Angle was confronted by The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble. Highlights of the careers of both Kurt Angle and The Undertaker is shown leading to the World Heavyweight Title Match tonight.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kurt Angle (c) vs. The Undertaker
The bell rings and The Undertaker charges. Kurt Angle moves and Taker misses a right hand. Angle goes from behind on Taker. Taker misses another right attempt and Angle rolls out quickly to dodge anything more. Angle gets back in, both lock up and Taker drops to a knee applying a headlock on Angle. Angle tries to break this, but Taker continues to lock it on. Taker takes out Angle with a shoulder block and then Taker works on the left arm of Angle. Taker bounces the left arm of Angle off the corner and follows that up with some kicks. Taker then lifts Angle high in the air and Angle leaps back down. Taker drops a leg across the left arm of Angle and then applies a submission over the arm. Taker then puts his weight on the chest of Angle, the referee counts the pinfall and Angle gets a shoulder up after two. Angle gets in some hard rights on Taker, but Taker puts pressure on the arm of Angle. Taker goes for the Old School arm drop, but Angle prevents that and gets in some rights. Taker flips Angle using his left arm, moves to the corner, walks the ropes and connects with the Old School arm drop. Angle charges at Taker, but Taker grabs him and plants him face first into the mat. Taker covers Angle, but only gets a two count. Taker lifts Angle up and drops him in the Snake Eyes off the corner. Taker misses a big boot attempt on Angle and Angle hits Taker with a big german suplex. Angle covers Taker, but gets a two count.
Angle then kicks Taker in the corner a few times. Angle hits a few shoulder charges on Taker in the corner. Angle gets tossed into the corner and Taker hits a high knee on Angle. Taker charges again for a big boot, but Angle moves and Taker moves to the ring apron. Angle then knocks Taker off the ring apron and Taker hits the ring barricade with force. Angle goes to the outside and nails Taker face first off the steel steps. Angle goes up to the ring apron, jumps at Taker, Taker catches Angle and drives him spine first into the ring post! Taker puts Angle back in the ring, leaving him exposed over the ring apron. Taker then drops his right hand over the head of Angle. Taker climbs up the steel steps, stays on the ring apron, runs, jumps and drops a leg over the throat of Angle. Angle falls off the ring apron and holds his throat in pain. Taker tosses Angle back in the ring, covers, but Angle gets a shoulder up after two. Taker backs up, raises his hand, Angle is up, Taker slaps his hand across his neck, but Angle breaks it up with some kicks. Taker then nails Angle with a big right hand. Taker attempts another right, but Angle trips him up. Angle starts to kick Taker and then applies pressure on the knee he tripped him up with. Angle then goes to the outside, grabs the leg of Taker and drives it across the ring post. Angle does this a second time. Angle then grabs Taker and wraps his legs around the post, applying a figure four!
Angle comes back in the ring to break the count by the referee. Taker is out as well. Angle chases him down. When Taker puts a knee up to get in, Angle drops his elbow across the knee of Taker a few times. Both are back in the ring. Angle wor ks on Taker in the corner with some kicks driving Taker down to the mat. Angle hits Taker with some stiff rights. Angle puts Taker’s leg across the bottom rope and jumps down applying weight on it. Angle does this a second time. Angle attempts this a third time, but Taker blocks it. Angle then kicks Taker some more. Taker then grabs Angle and tosses him through the ropes to the outside. Taker drives his knee into the face of Angle a few times on the outside. Taker puts Angle back in the ring over the ring apron to break the count by the referee. Taker then kicks Angle right on the side of the face. Taker gets up on the ring apron, jumps, attempts another leg drop, but Angle grabs Taker by the ankle and applies the Ankle Lock! Angle has it locked in on the outside as the referee starts the count. Angle keeps it applied, breaks it, rolls in and breaks the count. Angle then goes back out and applies the Ankle Lock yet again. The referee gets to 8 and Angle breaks the count once again. Angle throws Taker back in the ring. Angle drives his elbow into the bad knee of Taker a few times. Taker tries to break this, but each time he falls back he gets down in a pinfall. Taker gets a shoulder up after two each time. Angle pulls Taker to the middle and hits another elbow drop to the bad knee of Taker.
Taker hits Angle with some forearms to the back. Taker pushes Angle back and drops his knee over his face a few times to force Angle to break the hold. Angle then tackles Taker and gets in some stiff rights. Taker then gets a triangle choke applied on Angle. Angle gets to the bottom rope and Taker breaks the hold before the referee gets to the full five count. Angle rolls to the outside and Taker follows. Taker throws Angle into the ring barricade and then into the timekeeper area. Taker nails Angle face first off the ring apron. Taker nails Angle in the gut and face with a few rights. Taker kicks Angle in the chest. Taker then removes the top off of the announcer’s table. Taker clears the top off and rolls back in the ring to break the count. Taker comes back out, charges, Angle ducks and then connects with an Angle Slam on Taker right through the Spanish Announce Table smashing it to pieces! Angle rolls back in the ring and the referee starts the count with Taker still trying to recover. The referee gets to 9 and Angle tells him not to count Taker out. Angle tells the referee that he wants to beat Taker in the ring. Angle comes out and gives Taker a few uppercuts. Angle nails Taker off the ring apron, hits a few kicks and then forearms. Taker then counters and sends Angle right into the steel steps. When Angle hits the steel steps, his jaw bounces off the top part of the announce table. Taker grabs Angle and tosses him back in the ring. Taker then goes up to the top turnbuckle. Angle then jumps up and cuts Taker off on the top rope.
Angle then gets up with Taker. Angle hooks the arm of Taker. Taker then counters, knocking Angle off the top. Taker regains his composure when Angle leaps up again and takes down Taker in a big superplex! Angle covers Taker quickly…1…2…Taker kicks out and Angle can’t believe it. Both get to their feet and exchange right hands. Taker takes out Angle with a big boot. Taker covers Angle, but Angle gets a shoulder up after two. Taker then backs up and signals for the chokeslam. Taker slaps his arm across the neck of Angle, lifts Angle up, but Angle counters into a roll through into the Ankle Lock! Taker turns over, but Angle turns with him and continues to lock it on. Taker then counters out of that and locks Angle in the triangle choke. Angle counters that into the Ankle Lock once again! Taker rolls through the Ankle Lock once again. Taker then grabs Angle and connects with the chokeslam. Taker covers Angle…1…2…Angle gets a shoulder up after two. Taker can’t believe it. Taker then stands up and stalks Angle as he gets to his feet. Taker kicks Angle, gets him ready for the Last Ride, lifts him up, but Angle rolls through and applies the Ankle Lock yet again! Angle has it locked in on Taker in the middle of the ring. Taker reaches out, almost gets to the bottom rope, but Angle pulls him back to the middle. Taker then powers out of the Ankle Lock, but Angle comes back with the Angle Slam. Angle hooks the leg of Taker…1…2…Taker kicks out! Angle gets frustrated and puts his straps down. Taker sits up. Both exchange rights. Taker gets Angle up in the Tombstone Piledriver, Angle counters that into the Tombstone position, Taker counters that back into the Tombstone, but Angle slides out and applies the Ankle Lock. Angle falls to the mat and puts more pressure on Taker in the Ankle Lock. Taker fights off tapping out. Taker rolls to his back, sits up and starts kicking Angle in the face. Angle breaks the hold. Angle then nails Taker with the Angle Slam. Angle goes to cover when Taker applies the triangle choke. Angle starts fading away, but tries to hang on. The referee lifts the arm of Angle once, twice, but on the third Angle rolls through into a pinfall. The referee counts the pinfall. The bell rings.
Winner & STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Kurt Angle
After the match, The Undertaker can’t believe the decision. Undertaker chases off the referee, picks up Angle, shoves him into the corner, tells him he has his number and that he isn’t done yet. The PPV goes off the air with both Undertaker and Angle staring each other down…
