There is a current idea for WWE to “invade” the shootfighting promotion K-1. It wouldn’t be called that, but rather promoted as wrestlers versus shootfighters. Kurt Angle is said to be the main advocate for the idea and is trying to convince the McMahons, much like RVD did last year with the ECW PPV. The team proposed would be Bob Sapp, Sam Greco, Predator, and Tom Howard, all of whom have been professionally trained as wrestlers. McMahon is said to be against the idea fully.
WWE is currently considering making a movie on the life of Eddie Guerrero with all proceeds going to the Guerrero family.
Triple H has received praise backstage recently for his promo on January 2nd. While the promo was his normal work, Triple H was able to recover from the video mistake as he babyfaced himself by joking about how it was the wrong clip, but it’s live TV and he can wing it. Many people today are being criticized as not being able to talk on the fly so management took to Triple H’s example to show people how to improve on the mike.
Bill Behrens, who left the NWA to head the Deep South Wrestling territory for WWE, is now officially gone to end the saga of “Which side is he on?” WWE was apparently not happy that Behrens continued his agent job by booking TNA talent on the Indies, most notably AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. He does have a non-compete clause so he won’t be heading back to TNA right away, but as soon as it is over, he will be back with open arms as is being said.
